Up to 75% off Rebel Galaxy, Hard West, Shadow Warrior and more.

If killing is your trade, you better make sure to do it with style. The Samurai know this all too well, delivering death in their ridiculously fabulous armor while wielding finely-crafted stabbing instruments. But are they any match for the scruffy-looking, gun-toting warriors of the West? Let's find out by letting them battle it out in our Weekly Staff Picks: Samurai vs Cowboys — pitching revolvers against katanas, wide-brimmed hats against spiky helmets, and loose leather vests against tight, colorful cuirasses. It's a fierce duel between surefire classics and deeply-cut prices where everyone's a winner.

For most people, the far West is considered to be a relic of the past. Taking on the role of a space cowboy in open-world action/adventure Rebel Galaxy, though, will convince you to also consider it a thing of the future. Because exploring the far galaxies, outgunning space bandits, and collecting hard-earned bounties proves that fashion goes around in circles; and that a sharp tongue can sometimes get you places easier than a fast ship.

Taming the West during its wild years sure was tough and being (un)dead definitely doesn't make matters any easier. Seeking vengeance in the brutal afterlife of Hard West takes turn-based patience, gear-collecting obsession, and painful decision-making. There is no country for dead men but perhaps there can be a semblance of peace. Or bloody retribution.

Now, fancy gut-piercers and shiny bullet-propellers are fine on their own but why choose when you can have both? Shadow Warrior (2013) lets you blast through exotic locales as pissed-off shogun Lo Wang, taking in all the sights in first person and wreaking havoc with weapons or magic to any other person standing in your way.

It's Weekly Staff Picks: Samurai vs Cowboys! Join the fight between these two iconic castes of warriors picking your contestants among titles such as Skulls of the Shogun, Way of the Samurai 4, Ronin, SteamWorld Dig, and more! The promo will last until January 22, 10:59 AM GMT.
Impressive lineup! Thanks! :)
I'm probably blind, but can't find Outlaws i promo page :)
I completed Ronin today. Took me 10 hours. It's a great game, no matter what the user rating says. Bugs are rare and few, the hitbox is generous, looks stylish, plays smoothly, and requires next to nothing in the way of reaction times. Anything important happens in turn-based bullet time. Anyone who's bad at twitch platformers or shooters but would like to be good and wants to know how it feels to be good should try it. The sound machinegunners' bodies make when surreptitiously hanging from the ceiling is so satisfying.

Konrad: Notice anything different?

That's right. The Weekly Staff Picks are a bigger deal this week.

We're altering the format for the promo in what is an extremely sciency experiment — that means more games and more time to browse around.

Should be good, right? Enjoy!
"SteaWorld Dig"?

Mmmmmmmmm... I think there's something missing there. ;)
Highly recommend Rebel Galaxy. It's just fun.
Hey Konrad, I would like to ask you something ... was there a change in the font or similar on the forst page of GOG.com, because everything is written in bold font?
Want to add Hard West to my backlog but I think I need to wait for a bigger discount (or less backlog...)

It looks amazing. I've been looking at it, but it is a little expensive for my price range. And what is it? A simulation or action? GOG also has it as adventure.
Steamworld Dig's pretty nice for what it is. Lovely AD.

I already was wondering why you don't run the Weekly Staff Pick promos until Friday. Giving us more time is always a good idea, thanks! :)

Nothing interesting for me in this promo, though.

Nice to see this change, not sure about the increase of duration, but the increase in number of games is certainly welcome.

But as already pointed out, Outlaws is not among the games on the promo page.
And the game page shows no discount either.
