Smannesman: Setting people on fire is always fun.
Also I really think you can select multiple agents at the same time.
It's been a couple of decades since I played it last, but I'm pretty sure you could.
I think you had to do it via the HUD and not in-game.
I tried for 5 minutes, and I couldn't figure it out. Maybe I was stupid and didn't see it, could be. I didn't figure out how to shoot either, after all. It still gave me a really clunky, aged feel that I have no nostalgia to compensate for, so unless it had some wow mechanic (that hasn't been copied and refined on more modern games) I see no point in trying it nowadays. I was asking to know if such a feature existed.

BUT what's interesting me is the Grim Fandango remastered as it's cheap and back in the days I had technical problems with it so I couldn't play it. What bothers me is that I recall a lot of shitstorm when the "remastered" game came out (I don't even remember why....).

Yay.

Grim Fandango is one of the best games ever made, quite possibly the best adventure game ever, at that, and this version works (whatever issues it might have had at release have been fixed in subsequent patches and updates, and the game works flawlessly -- provided you have a GPU that supports OpenGL 3.0). It's the same as the original, with remastered soundtrack supervised by Pete McConnell himself, upgraded visuals that can be switched back to the old looks, if you so choose, and remastered cutscenes; plus, some extras, like artwork galleries and dev behind the scenes commentary. Don't get into the Double Fine hate bandwagon and get this game; it's more than worth the price of admission and, discounted like this, it's an absolute steal.

Siegor: How would you rate the mouse and keyboard controls? I'm tempted to get it but from the gameplay video it looks like you'd need a wii remote or something like that.
Mouse controls work fine. It's basically like a Point&Click Adventure with a few action sequences thrown into the mix, similar to what TellTale do in some of their game series. Either way, the controls are very simple and smooth.

It's a fun game experience, if you like SWERY's style. I hope more people will buy it, so we'll eventually see a sequel ( or other new games from the developer ).

Not really I think, it was just amazing for the time.
You could micromanage your team (more power to speed, more to shield and such) and brainwash people.. and kill a lot of people whilst taking over the world.
From what I've played of Satellite Reign it's a pretty different kind of game.
Syndicate focuses a lot more on action I think. Of course I haven't played a lot of S-Reign.

I have not played it with keyboard and mouse, sorry. I played it on Xbox One. The game was made for the Kinect, but I played it with a controller, which worked quite well.

It's actually a great promo it terms of items on offer. For me though the majority of things I'm missing are the various "deluxe upgrade DLC" packs for various games. While normally I'm a completionist, most of them in this case don't offer good value for money. So I'm passing this time.

But again, if you don't own many of these titles, it's quite a nice promo.

dtgreene: I've found that the real-time-with-pause combat just doesn't work for me; either give me turn based RPG goodness with a party or give me a pure action game with only one party member at a time.
So you never completed any of the Infinity Engine games? I find it very easy to play the game with my thumbs resting on the space bar so I can quickly pause at any time. You can also set in the options for the game to auto-pause when spotting a hostile creature & to drop to half speed during combat.

Wholeheartedly agree with CharlesGray's opinion. I would like to note that the game does warn you to use a three button mouse before playing and that if I recall correctly, you do not need to use the keyboard at all.

Unfortunately this is another game where the original DOS version has been buried with the remaster and is missing in the GOG package. And as this package has been released already a year ago there's probably no hope the original version still will be added.

Yay, Played through it only had one gamebreaking bug and a few visual. It's fine if you remember to save often. :P

You only need a mouse. The controls are unique, once you're used to it though it works perfectly.
