Up to 80% off Spelunky, Super Hexagon, Odallus: The Dark Call, and more!

We've all got a story to tell about a grandpa who, every time we failed in a supposedly important undertaking, would tell us to just man up and Git Gud. The luckiest among us still have our grandma around, so that she can heal our bruised ego with a hot batch of strudels after each Game Over. But for everyone else, getting better is our only option. So hit these smug hardcore games with everything you got, and let's see who'll have the last laugh! After all, going down is just practice for picking yourself back up.

Spelunky's triumphant run may have begun underground but since this sparkling indie gem hit the surface, there was no containing it. Randomly-generated levels, gazillions of treasures, fantastic monsters, and addictive platforming made this an unmissable classic.

Geometry can often be frustrating but Super Hexagon's fast, rhythmic gameplay proves that it can also be used to generate some pure, addictive fun. As long as your reflexes are up to the task, that is.

Granted, the name sounds a bit weird, but there's nothing weird about La-mulana's allure: it's all about the fine-tuned adventure/platforming, the vast levels, and the unforgiving challenges that await players inside this mystical temple.

Sometimes gaming can be hard, but you know what they say, son: no pain, no gain. So press continue and keep practicing until you Git Gud, in the awesome training grounds of Odallus: The Dark Call, TIS-100, or VVVVVV, now that they are up to 80% off! The promo will last until March 18, 10:59 AM GMT.

RayRay13000: Heh, didn't think people would honestly get offended by a stupid meme.

Went ahead and got Odallus: The Dark Call.
People get offended by everything these days.
Git is good indeed! :P

jamyskis: €4.49 for Odallus? Oh, go on then.
You mean the three skins at a euro a piece? That's hardly a loss.

Given GOG's publishing policy I doubt JoyMasher is responsible for that. That sounds more like GOG's decision.
Yeah, they're just skin dlcs and they may not be very important for many gamers. But I think such policies sound like this: Games that treat GOG customers as second class citizens
Also, some gamers want to have complete version (all dlcs, soundtrack and etc). So both GOG and publisher should consider it.

dtgreene: IMHO, it has some decent games (though none I don't own that I am currently interested in), but the title and text seem rather immature. (See my previous post for why the phrase "man up" shouldn't be used.)
Didn't the OP only use that phrase in an anecdotal sense? Similar to how you're using it in a referential sense? It's not a directive, it's a throwaway satire of a highly-relatable grandpa stereotype.

Anyway, you can tell I'm still a gogscrub because this promo scored a triple hit on my wishlist. Pretty stoked.

dtgreene: I'm sorry, but I need to call GOG out on this promo's text. The promo uses the phrase "man up", which I see as being incredibly sexist, as it implies that being a "man" is superior to the obvious alternative of being a woman. Also, "git gud" is typically used as an insult.
Note that I am not aware of any similar issues in the games that are on sale, however.

And sadly nothing for me this promo, though now would be the right time for the Dark Souls games...

Maake it happen, Judas.

Certain retards get offended over anything. It's like they solely exist to be offended, and nothing else. ;)

Is that *really* necessary? Your post does not deserve to be high rated. In fact, it deserves to be deleted with reputation loss, as it is highly offensive and ignores a request I have made multiple times.

Much like your ignoring OUR requests multiple times, from multiple people, eh?

dtgreene: What requests?
Our requests for you to stop taking every opportunity to bring up some LGBT or social justice issue or to nitpick about some singular word or phrase that only you're insulted by when the rest of the community is perfectly fine with it. As I've said to you before, there is a time and a place for such things, and you keep picking the wrong times and the wrong places. You're entitled to your opinion, yes, but when you keep bringing up the same sort of issue over and over again and ignore people when they ask you to stop, it comes across as you either being a troll or being ignorant.

I didn't see anyone asking me to stop in this thread (at least before the post I am replying to right now).

Also, the fact that the OP used an offensive phrase is enough for this topic to be the time and place for such a thing.

Another thing: It's not safe to assume the rest of the community is fine with it; some people are just afraid to bring up the topic for fear of being treated the way I have been.

Well, then, let me be the one:
Please stop.

I'm not just referring to this thread, but multiple times when you've done this. And the OP is GOG themselves. A more appropriate way for you to handle the subject would be to either directly address them with a support ticket or to make a separate thread about it.

The overwhelming majority of the community, so far, have been fine with it and instead been upset with you and your track record of constantly bringing up such topics. I apologize for you being insulted, but this is still no justification for your behavior. After a certain amount of time hearing you go on and on about it, people get sick of it. I have a feeling that the community is much different than you're interpreting it to be.

From what I gather, the community is against censorship, yet you want to censor me. Please make up your mind.

There is a difference between asking to not be addressed a certain way (as I have done) and asking that a topic not be discussed (as you are doing).

Meh, screw it. It's not worth it to keep derailing the thread.
