Up to 75% off the Wing Commander series, Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, FTL, and Lifeless Planet!

On days like these, when our earthly problems seem to hold almost zero gravity within the vastness of space, one is more prone to pondering the really important questions. Like: Do astronauts pass the time by playing space-themed games? How do aliens depict humans in their videogames? Did Sandra Bullock say something to anger all that space-debris that was chasing her around? Humanity's frequent space-walks have not managed to answer any of them yet but don't let that stop you from getting one of these (inter)stellar classics, and celebrating Cosmonautics Day in the most appropriate way known to man.

The Wing Commander series has grown into a gaming phenomenon so huge, that it can be visible from orbit. Through a fine-tuned blend of FMV cinematics, intense space combat, and dramatic storytelling, they reshaped the simulation genre and introduced countless players to the allure of spacefaring adventuring.

No one could have predicted the galaxy-wide effect of Nexus: The Jupiter Incident but one talented captain and his legendary spaceship, Stiletto, will decide the outcome of the ensuing conflict. His weapons? Guile, strategic thinking, and formidable leadership skills that would inspire any fleet.

Make some space in your library for those games that weren't afraid to gaze into the stars and open a window to other galaxies. Cosmonautics Day will always remind us of the incredible accomplishments that humanity is capable of, but before we get to further expand our knowledge of the universe, we need to dream it up first.
The promo will last until April 15, 10:59 AM UTC.

We had so much stuff lately that now we're expecting games every workdays ;)
Yay, finally Wing Commander games 75% on its own.
They wear always bundled all together and because I am not interested in Armada, Academy and Privateer I always passed on them. Finally the time has come.
Also known as the I really want Wing Commander but I still don't have a joystick sale, part 17 :P

Vythonaut: You clearly lack the intelligence to even know what DRM-Free is, so your point is irrelevant. :D

HypersomniacLive: More like he lacks the intelligence to understand basketball and space. Doesn't make his point more relevant though.
All this talk about basketball and space is idiotic. (video link inside)

Nicole28: Ironically, I would have thought the game "COSMONAUTICA" would be a part of this sale. The name even matches swimmingly! :D
That omission surprised me as well.

Licurg: Lifeless Planet seemed interesting... Until I read the reviews :/ Are those dated ? Does anyone know ?
My review there covers the game in pretty much its current state, I believe, and still reflects my opinion of the game. It's not a bad purchase, but neither is it a must-have.

Most business like having their customers clamour for their products. :)

Oh, I am not denying that at all, just calling it like I see it :P
The Wing Commander games are such classics. I have a flash of nostalgia every time I see them come up for sale. :)

I think a good part of it, at least on the forums, is that a new game gives us something fresh to talk and debate (and sometimes complain) about. It's grist for the chatter mill, even when it's something we don't buy ourselves. :)

I would've figured that the 2K games would've given enough fuel for the chattering mill :P
TIL Grist is grain that has been separated from its chaff in preparation for grinding

Today was a good day
