Up to 75% off STASIS, Broken Age, NEO Scavenger, SOMA, UnderRail, and more!

When people get broken it is often a distressing, unpleasant thing to witness. But worlds? They can be broken already and you won't realize it until the cracks reach your immediate sphere of existence. Will you venture out to fix them? Or will you merely attempt to survive these Broken Worlds? Whatever you decide, you must first immerse yourself in them and discover the rough beauty that lies within. Start by taking advantage of the broken prices found in our Weekly Staff Picks and get ready for some intense but thoroughly rewarding experiences.

Your body aches, your mind races, your emotions overwhelm you when thinking about your missing wife and daughter. But eventually, all these sentiments must be held in STASIS if you are to solve the gruesome puzzles aboard this grim, lifeless spacecraft, and figure out the terrifying calamity that befell it.

Living like rats in the cavernous UnderRail is a fate you wouldn't wish upon your enemies but now have to brave yourself in order to survive the apocalypse. There are quests to undertake, opposing factions to undermine, and fellow underdogs to assist in this underground, turn-based RPG.

Is death a state of being? Or merely a state of mind? Do you need a physical SOMA to be considered whole or is your consciousness enough? Crushed beneath waves of scientific horror, these are the questions that will occupy your troubled mind while hiding from the roaming terrors, ready to spring towards the next shocking piece of information.

Navigate the dangers and find the fascinating imperfections that will make you fall in love with these Broken Worlds. Because really, nobody will blame you if you don't ever want to return from The Age of Decadence, NEO Scavenger or Broken Age, especially at these prices. The promo will last until February 26, 10:59 AM GMT.
Slightly annoying they throw in 1 title you probably already have that's the highest discount so they can say 'up to 70-80% off' while the majority of titles are clearly 50% off.
Does Neo Scavenger need Flash installed to work?
Decent promo. Couple games that might interest me.
Nice collection of games. Unfortunately most of the games I'm interested in this promo do not come with a Linux version. And although I often have risked a few Dollars on an older game without having the guarantee that it runs for me the prices in this promo are still too high to gamble.

'fraid so...
I'm curious about Little Inferno.

markrichardb: Really interesting selection here, I barely have any of these games and desire more than a few.

Vythonaut: (...)Buy STASIS. STASIS = Masterpiece. :)

markrichardb: Hmm I don't know about that. Stasis was pretty good, and there are body horror aspects that caused me discomfort. Its certainly got some scares! Unfortunately Stasis also supports my archnemesis - the dreaded one-save system. I know it sounds like a small thing but I doubt I'll ever stop believing the negatives far outweigh any benefits. My game was cut short when I attempted to run from a turret, and I was shot while transitioning to a new area. It autosaved as I appeared in the new area and I instantly died from my wounds.
Had similar feelings towards Hard West which locks the player into a started scenario even if its optional.
So this Autosave saved exactly just before you died and you had to play the whole game before that? Ouch! Better turn off Autosave then if at all possible.
I think that a one-save system is moronic in the age of storage > 64kb (no, the k in kb is not a typo here!) A one save system is incompatible with an autosave imho.
Did you report this incident as a bug to the developer? Surely this can't be intended behaviour?
I helped Kickstart Stasis because I was very impressed with a few pieces of Concept Art that I saw years ago. I was thrilled to see that vision turned into a game.
I'm very curious about both Soma and Underrail but I have to stay my hand as it creeps to my digital wallet because I have just payed my yearly municipal taxes and I need to keep enough to be able to pay my monthly expenses.

It's a hilarious silly little game with the same graphic style as The World of Goo and Human Resource Machine

The "Weekly Staff Picks" promos often have a bad average discount to advertized discount ratio. But this indeed is one of the worst promos I remember when you compare the advertized "up to" discount (75%) to the average discount you get when you select all games (45% for me). But my memory may fool me.

It's kind of a puzzle/exploration game. You can burn tons of things and explore the way they burn, while the puzzle part consists of burning different combinations of things. There's a hint for every combo and you'll have to figure it out ... sometimes the hard way ;-)

The "story" is rather abstruse and forgettable.

Maxvorstadt: Hm, if there was a bigger discount, I would give Underrail a chance.
Kinda the same here, don't want to regret not holding back in case some other big releases hit gog. If it were 50% off i'd go for it, but 20% off isn't much imo.

Whoever writes your Weekly Staff Picks description needs an award! I wouldn't be able to come up with anything if you asked me to write a description of "our Broken Worlds" sale. Yikes! Good job!!

As for the sale itself... It features quite a few games that I would consider 'dark', like Stasis and SOMA, and I am not a fan of those. Broken Age was fun, and Neo Scavenger just looks a bit too old-school for me. Nothing for me here, but I am sure lots of people are going to be happy with this week.

That's a shame. -_- I was hoping it would use the Mono runtime instead.

Kunovski: I won't tell you about my sad financial situation now... :) but it's sad :D (I can either buy games, or allow my car to be usable for the next two years :D

and what's more, I have more than enough games to play now ;)

but I just always love to try something new, create my character and delve into the entirely new worlds... :o)
I'm sure pretty much everyone here has enough ( too many? ) games already. Just gotta have those new shinies. It's like we're all junkies and GOG is our dealer. :D

Well, UnderRail has a very fair price for what it offers, so you can still pick it up some other time in the future, even when it's not currently on discount.

Yeah... I almost wish they'd say 'get the weekly staff picks at 50% off or better!' then minimum expectations are justifiably higher since discounts get better, not worse. Naturally 50% would be the minimum discount in such a sale.

A shame, I don't really want to have flash installed again. :l
