Up to 80% off Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, 80 Days, Starship Titanic, Evoland, and more!

Who doesn't like trips? Whether you are travelling through space, time, gaming eras, or emotional phases, it is mostly about the journey itself, not the destination. And you can't really put a price on a wonderful, memorable journey. But you can put a discount on it! Like the up to 80% one we put on our Weekly Staff Picks: Are we there yet?. So go grab your ticket on the cheap and get moving, traveler! There are some marvellous, unexplored paths out there waiting for you to cross them.

If adventure is in your blood or it haunts your sleep, then it's time to lose yourself in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. It is a place where destinies, worlds and states of being collide to form this poignant gem of thought-provoking fantasy and intriguing social commentary.

Does the fever for exotic expeditions grip you like it grips the 20 fearless trekkers of the Renowned Explorers: International Society? Then pick three of them and venture out to unknown regions where you will fight, charm, or even intimidate your way towards mystical treasures and lost cities.

No journey can be considered complete without a hike through the galaxy aboard the ill-fated Starship Titanic. Puzzle out the absurd behaviour of its strange crew, enjoy the intoxicating wit of author Douglas Adams, and try to fight the urge to strangle that damn parrot.

Fill your backpack with provisions, a yearning for adventure, and your favorite games from our Weekly Staff Picks: Are we there yet? — then hit the wondrous highway of wanderers. It will be difficult to leave any game behind, with the likes of 80 Days, Evoland 2, and The Longest Journey fighting for a spot by your campfire. The promo will last until February 12, 10:59 AM GMT.

micktiegs_8: not really. It makes me angry, although your experience may differ.
It is a good game, of course.

op2016: Thank you for your answer. The price in the promo isn't high ... so is it worth it than? Or is it really that frustrating, that you pick it up, play 5 minutes and never touch it again?
Sunrise is advertised as good for relaxing. Having been burned on the main game (what a PoS*), I decided to recoup my losses with the DLC, but then again, it's 25c for me. Haven't tried it yet.

*The catch is that you can't tell how ass [YMMV] the main game is until you try it youself. If you use Steam, I strongly suggest you get it there, try asap and get a refund if you don't like it. It's now on a -75% promo there, too.

Lol, reading the reviews, you're up to a worse PoS XD

Even if I have the same basic experience as the reviewers, a pretty purple screensaver for 25c is an excellent deal for me.
Nice batch of games!

It doesn't even work as a screensaver, though :P
Well nothing for me. The ones I'm interested in are not discounted enough to warrant an addition to the backlog...

Gandos: It looks like someone at GOG is a fan of Shrek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=basofea2UEs =P

Venita: I was hoping it'd be this.
Damn you just sent me off on a 45 minute you tube video watching tangent and all I wanted to do was buy games.

Now I'm also going to have to buy a smash mouth best of CD, I'd forgotten all about that band.

Now to pickup Evoland 2, 80 days and Sunrise to own them all.

Thanks. So if I am unhappy with the game, does GOG refund policy count in this case?

Generally, nope. Because of GOG's DRM-free policy, "game is unfun" is not a valid reason -- if it was, it'd be endlessly exploited.

Refunds only apply to:
- games in development: 14 days for any reason (including dissatisfaction) -- special "in dev" category only, season passes and such don't count.
- mistaken purchases: if you didn't try to download the game or its bonus material.
- games which Support can't get to work on your minimum-req-compliant machine: 30 days since purchase to initialize contact with Support.

Thanks for your clarification. So there I have it ... Eh, I will buy the game and cross my fingers ...
By any chance, do the Evoland games run well in WINE?
Tempted to get 80 Days from this sale. Played it on the tablet but didn't complete it, might be more likely to on the PC.

On the fence about Evoland 2, since I still haven't gotten around to playing the first one yet.
Sales highlights:

Best historical deals:
80 Days (Previous best 25% off, now 40% off)
Sunrise (The Race the Sun DLC) which is on sale for the first time at 75% off.

Evoland (et al) and Starship Titanic match their best historical prices.

Everything else has been on sale for less.
Tempted to get the Evoland.

op2016: [..] a good game for relaxing?
I know I won't be helpful in any way, but if you really need a game for relaxing, consider checking out Anno 1404; it is definitely what I consider as the best stress reliever and relaxing game currently on GOG.
