Up to 80% off games that will give you some perspective: Legend of Grimrock 1+2, Sublevel Zero, Ravenloft, Wizardry 8, and more!

If there's one thing games are chiefly about, it's freedom! Freedom to be anyone you want, travel wherever you want, and fight whoever you want! But the first step to enjoying all that is having 360 degrees of freedom, so that you can fully explore your environment, immerse yourself in the adventure, and perhaps fight back against any enemy that tries to surprise you from behind. So exercise your freedom of choice and pick any of these games that you fancy, taking advantage of the up to 80% discount that's visible from all angles!

Can't talk about freedom of movement without mentioning Sublevel Zero, the first-person roguelite shooter set in a six-dimensional reality. Salvage pieces of ancient technology, craft neat weapons for your ship, and make your way through this procedurally-generated complex.

Deadly traps, cunning monsters, devious puzzles. That's how Legend of Grimrock greets the brave souls who want to experience the old-school, grid-based challenges lying at the heart of its accursed dungeons.

Now, what good is freedom if you don't have some fun with it, eh? The Deadly Tower of Monsters fixes its colorful beam of jokes upon some fine 70s sci-fi cheesiness, and carves out a delicious piece of action-adventure that Ed Wood himself would award a solid B.

Spin around, look above, explore your 360 degrees of freedom! They will reveal to you the most wonderful of places, like: Dark Sun, Wizardry 8, Fez, the Forgotten Realms Archives, and more!
The promo will last until October 28, 9:59 AM UTC.

Cecco: I have all the games I need for some time. I would show appreciation for the D&D and Forgotten Realms collections with a 80% discount, and have those gems in my backlog. But not for 50% as my bank account does not agree. I don't mean they are not worth the money, I'm just on the lighter-wallet side of life right now. So I'm good.
Wizardry, M&M, LoGrimrock, I'm still playing those. :)
I'm guessing that it would take *at least* 1 more year before GOG puts D&D and Forgotten Realms collections in 80% off discount sales. They were only released late last year.
"360 degrees of freedom - Descent not included"
Deadly Tower of Monsters has been on my wishlist for a long time, I'll have to buy it tomorrow. :D

You really should.
The game is quite enjoyable.
Sadly dips a bit near the end but oh well.
Oh come on. Revolver 360 is perfect for a promo with this title. :P

Got Sublevel Zero because I'm a big Descent fan (look at my avatar, can you tell?) and now I have a quick question: I can't access the soundtrack because it's stored in .bank files, but the game doesn't come with an OST, nor is an OST available separately. Any chance we'll see that as bonus content or can you alternatively help me extract the music or something?

The music is dynamically generated, so it will react to things as you play. However, you can buy tracks from the composer here: http://music.willbedfordmusic.co.uk/

Ah, I see. Thanks for the link, although I'm a bit disappointed these tracks don't come with the game.
Has anyone tried Trickstyle under Linux/Wine? The preview demo works for me, but the report about the retail version is not that promising.

On the one hand, I can fully understand the composer wanting to maximise their profits - and by selling it themselves, they can do just that - but on the other I do prefer buying the soundtrack with the game.

I did manage to find something to help me play .ogg files to listen to some tracks from one of my games, as that seemed to be the only option, so you may be able to find something if you search around.

tarasis: Ergh, €30 worth of stuff that I want (Forgotten Realms & D&D and some other bits. Perfect timing for the grid cartographer app that I was thinking of buying.
Aw shucks! Don't forget to vote for it here: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/grid_cartographer

( Then get a job in the GOG mail room. Work hard, rising through the ranks slowly, inexorably, into the very upper echelons of GOG's elite management team. Bide your time until that one fateful day when you unleash your secret agenda of adding a 'application software' section to the store. Or not, that's cool too. )

Don't see it happening even then. You have V4 using a custom DOSBox build. I don't see that flying at GOG.

Fair enough. I really think they are worth their full price too. It's just that I'm really broke now, I had to pay for a lot of stuff and a few € make a difference.

tarasis: $3? Bah ts €4,49 here :(
Same here...

Maybe, but don't forget all macOS dos games on here use boxer which is also a custom build. Also Night Dive are using (a much much older) version of my dosbox already to fix the audio in Wizardry 6 (definitely on Steam, p sure here now too)

Using my custom dosbox build to assist playing games could be left as an exercise for the interested, especially since you'd need to have publisher permission to modify the games at source.

Grid Cartographer is still an excellent art package imo if you don't include the Game Link feature at all.
