who thought putting the news section at the bottom of the page was a good idea? discover games used to be on the side next to it, now some curated crap is there as well. why not put news items above all this?

The new site doesn't make very good use of space. I agree, news shouldn't be at the bottom.
In my case, before the main page with all these bells and whistles is loaded to the very bottom, where news are placed now, everything is quite close to being dead...

I agree that I'd much prefer the news more toward the top than the bottom, having it on the bottom reduces the new game/sale discoverity a lot. (Though my workaround is that I use an RSS reader to get a notification for news, if anybody need the adress it's: https://www.gog.com/frontpage/rss )

Anyway on another topic, what game is in the banner of the news? I really like how it looks!

Ever since the site update, nothing has loaded right for me. Where the news and on sale items should be, it's just an empty space. When I click the browse arrows I briefly see something and it disappears again. I don't know what is on sale until I use the Store tab at the top.

I never had any issues with the old setup. Now it's one thing after another.

Guys, guys, guys - I know you know this by now - but you have got to move the News back up to top and make sure it loads first. Half the time the news doesn't even load and it's not the most user friendly presentation when it does.

Love your work, but...news at the bottom is bad. So very, very bad.

I know I'm going to miss a lot of things now.

Hey GOG, you might want to reconsider your new design of the frontpage. It's really over-complicated to reach the sale page now. Before the re-design it was just one click, now you have to scroll down to the bottom, open the news and use the link inside.

And the On-Sale-Section on the main page doesn't really help as well, because it is unsorted and also shows all the games you already own.

It's Kingdom New Lands. Which... *isn't* on sale atm. o_O Maybe they intend to add it in later?

Anyway, just by asking, you've proven that GOG's new website approach of large pictures with little descriptive text works to excite readers' interest in the product! Clearly the old method of allowing potential buyers to easily identify a game is a hackneyed, outmoded approach. :-P
don't buy sacrifice :p

Where does this appear on the main page now? There used to be a mini banner to the right of the main "New or important" games banner... Now, a news entry all the way at the bottom. You guys really fixed something that wasn't really broken here.

^ I agree with pretty much everyone above saying - Put the sale / news section back near the top where it was. Unless you scroll all the way down, it doesn't even look like there is a weekly sale whereas before it was immediately obvious on first glance.
I have to buy a lottery ticket . I was dreaming yesterday about a weekly Interplay promo for this week . :(
It seems i'm with the minority here who actually likes the redesign. The "Now on sale" slider is great to see what's on sale in a glance, the "Discover games" has the handy "New" tab that lists all the new games among the other tabs (Popular, Upcoming etc) and on the bottom there are the news. Maybe the news would be better if they moved in the place where the "Curated Collections" is, although i don't find it that much of a hassle to scroll a little further. As for the mobile version of the site, well, that was a bit of hit-and-miss anyway but things got better since the previous update.

The sale features some great games, but take a look at King of Dragon Pass which isn't part of the sale but is discounted right now; great game, well worth of your time.
