...A little more ACTION!

At least 78% of totally NOT made-up studies have shown that talking is the cause of 78% of unhappiness in the world. Especially when one participant wants to do it and the other doesn't.
In games, things are a little different and yet too much talking is known to put certain players off. Which makes a wordy announcement of a sale aimed at them a rather questionable choice. SO, perhaps it's time to stop reading and start browsing our action-themed Weekly Sale before it gets bored and shoots first!

Who needs words when you got a snazzy Hat in Time? 'Course, our little heroine does enjoy the occasional conversation with the many loopy NPCs scattered around the colorful worlds she visits during her space-hopping adventure. But let's face it, the platforming, smacking, secret-hunting and general trouble-making is where it's at.

Set your lasers to disintegrate! Explosive action and perilous exploration await you inside CRYPTARK's procedurally generated alien starships. As a fearless privateer, you must neutralize all threats lurking there with your own formidable arsenal and make their well-protected System Core go KABOOM!

The Weekly Sale ends April 09, 10 PM UTC.

Ooh. Volgarr The Viking. Don't mind if I do.
Hmmm, been eyeing out A Hat In Time.
Has it ever been on a greater sale?

Vadalma: If you like platformers, check Apotheon, Dustforce DX, Odworld series and any of the SteamWorld Dig games.
Oh and not to forget Escape Goat; this series is a combination of platforming + puzzle.

The hardcore players can try Rogue Legacy, Dangerous Dave Pack, Volgarr the Vikking, Blackhole, La Mulana, Cryptark...
You forgot Spelunky...how could you forget Spelunky... :\
Has anyone tried Cryptark yet? Is it similar to Enter the Gungeon?

guppy44: There are a few I'm interested in here. A Hat in Time and Skylar & Plux look very nice. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding them?
I'm looking into Skylar & Plux myself right now, but I can tell you a little bit I know about A Hat in Time: It's a good, solid and whimsical game and the guy that was the driving force behind the game seems like a really nice person, judging from one or two interviews I've looked up.
That being said, the GOG version boasts features that the game does not have:

Community-funded, community-focused
A Hat in Time was successfully funded on Kickstarter, reaching nearly 10 times its goal! In order to celebrate our community, A Hat in Time is releasing with full modding, an in-game screenshot mode, and more!
(I still don't know what "and more" is...)

Working mod support has been announced for "next week" - on March 13.
The one update the GOG version received since release supposedly fixed the in-game screenshot mode, but didn't.
As with many other developers, Gears for Breakfast gives us the second class citizen treatment. On GOG, all information about upcoming development and such comes from the community. So much for being "community-focused".

I am looking forward to the mod support - but at this time, I believe it when it happens. Personally, I wouldn't buy such a short game in that price range without mod support. That being said, I don't judge others for how they manage their gaming budget. You've earned that money, so you get to decide how it's used.

Jenkinz: [...] Has it ever been on a greater sale?
There had been a 50% discount between December 12 and 13, 2017. (Source.)

That being said, as long as you feel comfortable with the current price of a game, there's nothing wrong with buying it for said price in my eyes.
The front page banner and the sale page is showing upto 85% discount
The newspost and the forum post read upto 90% discount - [which is correct]
may some Blue correct it...
Could anyone familiar with A Hat In Time tell me where the hell the screenshots go?

Unfortunately: Nowhere. As I've written above, the in-game screenshot mode is still broken.
enjoying Iconoclasts very much, but must check out the Hat in Time as well!

Thank you for the thorough reply. It's always a shame when GOG doesn't get the updates and community benefits that other platforms get. The game looks to me like the glory days of the 90s/early 00s platformers and has had my interest piqued since I first saw it announced. Perhaps I'll think a bit more about it before making a purchase. Thanks again for the reply!
Anyone tried to play Hocus Pocus and the other DOS gamess with a wireless controller ?
Where is the latest update for A Hat in Time that has been said to arrive weeks ago? -_-

Peope continue to abandon GOG if more and more games receive delayed updates or no updates at all on here...

Ah, sorry about that :)
