McAllen: Right ,you're that particular type who is never understood,a genius which no one understands ,isn't it.? Like many smart bobs in our days...No worry ,that's ok,mother nature can't make gifts to all in same way..
That's right! Sure thing! I agree! Ehm... sorry, what were we talking about again? I hope you weren't insulting my mother.

ConsulCaesar: I can't not recommend Civ IV, one of my favorite games ever and easily a Top 3 on GOG.
I have no favorite Civ game, but I loved the advisors in Civilization II. I'm sure they could've replaced the FMV with 3D and some good voice acting, but they never did.

McAllen: No more buyingg from GOG - there are NO sport games except for a few titles, and wishlists are created for nothing .The sales packs are JOKES and cash grabs with repeating titles ,sometimes often put with insulting prices .GOG you took a wrong way
few sports games because legal reasons prevent re-releases of sports games, similar to racing games, and AAA publishers like EA won't put their brand-new sports games on GOG. go buy elsewhere if you really want sports games.

Definitely would be nice to see the Darkness games on here, both as a Artefacts fan and a fan of the Darkness games. The added "arms" and special combos make it a real treat and the storywriting doesn't alienate itself from the comics too much.

I see now how this goes - If someone has balls to really tell the truth about illegal things that are happing on Gog ,toxic and supporters individuals come to try to delete and hide posts on forum,so that eveeryone can't see issues described -don't worry thieves - everyone will get to know your GoG " legal" methods for " PRICING" .Stop the license bullshit- When we paid GOG ,we didn't pay for bullshit and legal thievery . GOG will do their responsabilities as they promised long ago ,we are no fools and we wasn't born brainwashed.STOP THE UNFAIR PRICING for all packs.

You have the cheek of accusing others here of being rude yet every single post of yours in this thread has been obnoxious from start to finish.
Sports games, as with racing games, are difficult to get released here mainly due to the multiple licenses involved.
The simple solution is to buy them on Steam or Origin instead. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

McAllen: And another sherlock holmes comes with his brilliant ideas - stay withing your brexit inteligence...mate- obnoxious is what GoG 's policy starts spreading - heck i don't even need to explain another smart shit all these things -fuck off tea party brexit english punk
I'll stamp my feet and scweem and scweem and scweem...because my (unresearched) opinions are the truth, and no-one can say any different... Fact!.

McAllen: I wouldn't have expected more than a toxic reply ...but ya know what - don't need a toxic scumbag to tell me what to do , and if you're part of GoG then many are screwed. Ow and GoG is in service of customers ,not the opposite, because customers PAY for GOOD OLD GAMES a'right?
You really have no other option if you want sports games, complaining on the forum isn't going to change the tough legal situation. :P also GOG hasn't meant "Good Old Games" since 2012.

Please do good on your promise of not buying from Gog again by also not bothering the people in this forum again either.

Mods are volunteers, the official staff are not at work b/c it's the weekend (other than a skeleton crew for Support but they've got much more important things to do than look at the forum)

I played Beyond the Sword a few times, don't seem to get the appeal. I'd appreciate a few tips if you can.

Looks like Mods have zapped a couple of posts that were here earlier...

The best thing about getting into the game is that, in the easier difficulty levels, you can just automatize or ignore several of the most complicated systems (worker management, great people generation, espionage...), pick whatever option seems the coolest or most useful, and still have a chance to win. As you climb up difficulty levels, you will need to start learning about them.

The best source about how to get into Beyond the Sword is, in my opinion, Sullla's Willem of the Netherlands Youtube playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL62E77EB66DBE2145 He's got a lot of other reports and articles on his website: http://www.sullla.com/civ4SP.html The best thing about Sullla is that he explains thoroughly why he makes the decisions he makes, as a teacher would do.

Another good read is Sisiutil's All Leaders Challenge at CivFanatics: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/the-all-leaders-challenge-game-bullpen.216961/ These are great after-action reports in which he periodically asked the community for tips on how to continue, which are very interesting discussions. You can see how he progressively improves as a player.

In general, the guides at CIvFanatics and the Strategy subforum were a great resource for me.
