Up to 75% off TotalBiscuit's favorites: Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Pharaoh + Cleopatra and more.

Love him or hate him, TotalBiscuit is a force to be reckoned with. He's the guy that millions of gamers listen to on a daily basis - whether it's first impressions, reviews, or his trademark cynical commentary on industry news, ins and outs - The Cynical Brit's influence on a generation of gamers can be hotly debated, but never denied. Today, we take a look at some of his favorites, his top bites, the 30+ games that TotalBiscuit Recommends:

From the creative minds of Chris Avellone, Tim Cain and Josh Sawyer comes Pillars of Eternity, where adventure continues beyond the gate. It's a critically lauded revival of the classic cRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, to call it Obsidian Entertainment's spiritual sequel would be an understatement. Of course, that's not the only modern revival of old school favourites - Wasteland 2 is a sequel to the historic 1988 title that redefined RPG gameplay and inspired legendary titles like Fallout - full of multipathed quest solving, choice, consequence and maturity. Brilliant storytelling isn't just an RPG domain - classic point and click adventures like The Longest Journey or its big, action-adventure sister Dreamfall: The Longest Journey are known for featuring some of the most unique universes and best written tales in gaming. The list just goes on with some of absolutely top releases in gaming history including S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat, Mount & Blade, Pharaoh + Cleopatra, and so much more!

Quite the nice collection of games :D shame I already got most.

Also I'd really love for an upgrade option for pillars of eternity. I was damn near to buying the champion edition just to see if I have two copys then but stopped when I was told by a warning on the purchase page that you don't.

Please make an upgrade option to royal edition for pillars of eternity (and discount it ;P)

deshadow52: Funny thing is I remembered the username and reading that thread when The Witcher 2 torrenting thing happened. Just had to find it.
Even more impressive.

infinitee8: I'm sure I'm not the only one who saw this, got excited and found out a couple games didn't make it to the 75% threshold. Maybe next time they will be.
avatar
Ml33tninja: some of these games are not even a year old. Who in their right mind would put all of these games at 75% off? that would be bad business
I didnt mean anything bad by it. I understand some games dont go on sale for 75% off in less than a year but some do. It's not unprecedented.

I was only speaking for myself since I have to watch my spending. The headline gave me a moment of giddyness followed by a moment of slight disappointment when I looked closer.
One day though and my only disappointment might be in having to choose between a handful of really good games and only being able to choose one.

TheCheese33: Incredibly disappointed in GOG's continued insistence on supporting TotalBiscuit. While I prefer to get my games DRM-free, I'll take Steam any day over a site that openly supports this jerk.

deshadow52: Hey wait a minute. weren't you the guy that left years ago because of The Witcher 2 piracy controversy. Ah wait here it is. http://www.gog.com/forum/general_archive/gog_you_two_faced_liars/page1

Not really sure if your "threat" to go to steam is really that credible four years later.
That link is gold!
Thank you for the proof and the laugh XD

TotalBiscuit: Belief that a pursuit of journalistic ethics and repeated condemnation of harassment is somehow "being part of a hategroup" is deluded.
"ACTUALLY IT'S ABOUT ETHICS IN VIDEO GAMES JOURNALISM"

Biggest fucking joke on the internet.

BananaJane: This is absolutely disgraceful
You should be ashamed
Notice the same old trend here on the fluffy gog forums ... anyone that tells it how it is , gets down voted.

Really? I think it is horrifying to read so many people defend what ranks among the worst things CDP ever did. (Abmahnanwaelte) On page one there is only one guy who realises what happened there. (DarrkPhoenix)

CDP apologized for this and stopped it immediately. Since they are not German, I assume they simply didn't understand the implications of their actions.

But what more do you want from them, other then stopping it and apologizing. I agree that it wasn't okay, but what more can they do?
Besides, that wasn't even deshadow52's point anyway, so I don't see how it matters for this conversation.

I don't want anything from them, I was criticizing the gog fanboys in that thread who reflexively defended these practices , so I don't see how what I want from CDP matters for this conversation.
Humm, someone recommends Act of War and Sea Dogs? Alreay have all the other interesting games from this promo

I literally have no idea what this thread is about anymore. Total Piracy Steam Gate Sale or something. It's like half the people here have PhD in internet drama.
