Up to 75% off TotalBiscuit's favorites: Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Pharaoh + Cleopatra and more.

Love him or hate him, TotalBiscuit is a force to be reckoned with. He's the guy that millions of gamers listen to on a daily basis - whether it's first impressions, reviews, or his trademark cynical commentary on industry news, ins and outs - The Cynical Brit's influence on a generation of gamers can be hotly debated, but never denied. Today, we take a look at some of his favorites, his top bites, the 30+ games that TotalBiscuit Recommends:

From the creative minds of Chris Avellone, Tim Cain and Josh Sawyer comes Pillars of Eternity, where adventure continues beyond the gate. It's a critically lauded revival of the classic cRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, to call it Obsidian Entertainment's spiritual sequel would be an understatement. Of course, that's not the only modern revival of old school favourites - Wasteland 2 is a sequel to the historic 1988 title that redefined RPG gameplay and inspired legendary titles like Fallout - full of multipathed quest solving, choice, consequence and maturity. Brilliant storytelling isn't just an RPG domain - classic point and click adventures like The Longest Journey or its big, action-adventure sister Dreamfall: The Longest Journey are known for featuring some of the most unique universes and best written tales in gaming. The list just goes on with some of absolutely top releases in gaming history including S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat, Mount & Blade, Pharaoh + Cleopatra, and so much more!

TotalBiscuit: Gimmicky? Character based? We don't have a gimmick or a character on the channel. Strange attitude. Also saying I have no original ideas then admitting you don't watch the videos in the first place is a little silly, don't you think?
Don't do this to yourself, you know you shouldn't get yourself dragged into debates.

Vote republican senator Robert Thorn!

summitus: I agree , not everyone is a Total Biscuit sycophant. Wouldn't buy anything if he's involved in it.

And gog how about doing some of your users lists as sales , instead of using an overated youtuber ?
Jealous much :)
Perfect! I should really get around to playing these games.

Fesin: Perfect!
That's a pineapple in a nutshell, yes.
Pretty cool sale and some great selections in there. It'd be great to be able to buy the upgrades on their own to the various editions of Pillars of Eternity. I pre-ordered the Hero Edition back at launch and would love some of the extras without rebuying the whole game. Still strange that if doesn't say I own any version of it on the store page too. I'd imagine we'll see a fix by the time the expansions launch?

NoNewTaleToTell: He basically repeats whatever the popular sentiment in gaming is, but in a gimmicky character based way, he's Jim Sterling but with less of the cringe. I have no idea why he's ascended to the status he has, you can see random nobodies saying the exact same things he does (often before he does) in the top comments of any /r/gaming thread, the only difference is his videos caught fire and now he's a "gaming prophet" or some junk that you're not allowed to question.

I've yet to hear he come up with ANY original ideas or stances on ANYTHING but then again I try to avoid him these days as I find his fanboys just as bad (often worse) as the pewdiepie "bros" or whatever they call themselves.

I wouldn't bother arguing points with them. Remember those who can, do!, and those that can't just whine about those that are doing :) (in this case popular gaming you tube videos and reviews)

Much appreciate your WTF series of reviews, has helped fill in the gaps from other reviews or lack of reviews for me to decide on games to buy. While I'm already a GOG customer I appreciate that promotions like these can help bring in new customers from your audience which helps everyone. Competition between game sellers, critical mass to get more DRM free titles to GOG etc.

Amazing though that there seem to be many who just don't get it.

JLH: wow great games on the list. maybe i'll finally bite the bullet on the gog version of stalker cop. it's cheaper now than during the summer sale.

also if anyone is on the fence about pillars of eternity and you loved Baldur's gate...try it. no game will please everyone but I think it does satisfy most fans of bg. :)
yes it will i am sure, its a decent price now compared to 41 euros listprice
however i checked the requirements again and did some comparing of my gpu card
underline text are my specs

Recommended system requirements - Windows: win7

Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10 GHz /
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T i5 750 @2.67 GHZ

Memory: 8 GB RAM 8GB

Graphics: Radeon HD 7700
or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 GeForce GTS 250 1GB ram

Hard Drive: 14GB free space more then enough :D

the 570 is better then my old GTS, meaning that i will be playing the game not at recommended
so sometime i might get 'frustrated' during gameplay ebcause of some performance problems.
90% of all my GOG games (and 400 casual games (retail) run at recommended.

i guess i will wait a little longer till pillar be at 15 euros, this way it wont be that bad if i have to play the game on minimum, still have loads of games to play (at least 50) that i bought last fall/winter sales and this years summer sales.

I agree. I've always enjoyed TB's "WTF is" series! He's brutally honest about the games and it's especially nice to know what Options are available for the game. Now if only he would talk more about the availability of Windowed-Mode in games! :) Maybe a game like Act of War.

This, for gods sake let Full Screen Windowed mode become a standard thing to have already.

Well I discuss windowed mode for new games but unfortunately it wasn't as common on games from 10 years ago. There are tools you can use that in some situations will let you force windowed mode, google dxwnd, that's what we used to get Pax Imperia to run in windowed mode. Also works with Chaos Gate.
I own most of that list already. Thinking of finally picking up the Giana Sisters mini expansion and possibly Risk of Rain. I also may nab AoW 3's Eternal Lords. That'd be about it for me.

Yeah, I still can't believe the sheer amount of PC games that do not have any kind of a windowed mode. This is 2015 and people need to multitask and usually have multiple monitors.

Out of curiosity. Are you allowed to tell us which other games you had suggested but didn't manage to get a sale ?

^ This.

For example isn't HoMM 3 one of his favorites? (again it isn't in this promo) There are also others in his Strategy GOGmix that aren't in this promo.
