Up to 90% off Blackguards 2, Deponia, Blackwell Bundle, Technobabylon, Anna's Quest, and more!

While researching how The Big Adventure Game Drought Οf Τhe Εarly 00's came to its end, scientists recently came across a mysterious puzzle box they dubbed The Story Inventory. Opening it was no easy task but once someone pointed out that you had to lead the curious Wadjet Eye symbol to the top right corner of the Daedalic maze engraved on the lid, something clicked. This historical unboxing revealed that the games held inside were not just adventure games but did have one thing in common: a thick layer of delicious storytelling. Now it's finally time to share the contents with the rest of the world in a Weekend Promo that's not only rich in story but also heavy on discounts!

If you are among Aventuria's most vile mercenaries, taking up the occasional jailbreak job, engaging into shady politics, and killing for money should be your bread and butter. But Blackguards 2 is also about making your own (im)moral choices as you guide your companions on turn-based battlefields, customize their gear, and even use the environment to your advantage.

It's 2087 and this brave new world is irreversibly addicted to Trance, a virtual reality world which overshadows the mundane "meatspace" that we know. But when three broken people stumble upon a layered conspiracy that eats on the foundations of this Technobabylon, they will need to confront their demons and tackle challenging puzzles in order to reach the truth or a personal closure.

There are dozens of amazing stories waiting to be unleashed from The Story Inventory, going for up to 90% off. The engraved symbols of storytelling masters Daedalic and Wadjet Eye Games on its lid guarantee their quality and games like the Deponia series, Dead Synchronicity, the Blackwell saga, Anna's Quest, and Primordia, stand as the best scientific proof! The promo will last until February 16, 4:59 AM GMT.

tokisto: Buy Primordia fellow GOG'ers. Better, buy all the W. Eyes games, no remorse.
I'm waiting for Technobabylon Linux version come to buy it.
I would probably buy most of them as they seem to be good games when they only would have a little bit better graphics. Can you give me a recommendation for an easy one to test if I can stand the low-res graphics?

If you like Blade Runner science fiction, Gemini Rue.

The ambience right off the bat should show you that graphics are secondary in these games. Seriously, the rain doesn't need to be high-def. The sounds are absolutely spot on & the whole mood of the game right at the very beginning should have you hooked.

I've read some of the reviews. Easy puzzles sounds good for me. :) The only part which scares me a bit is the gunfire:

"The worst part of the game is the action sequences involving gunfire. You have to use the keyboard to time gunshots and to avoid your opponent's gunshots. Even on easy difficulty, I found these segments far too difficult. I died over and over and over again and it was a very frustrating experience!!"

I've seen Wadjet Eye Games have demos on their web site, a rare good these days. So I'm going to try the demo of Gemini Rue first. The next promo will come for sure and then I know a bit better if I enjoy the game. Thanks for the recommendation!

I do not need hi-definition graphics, but a little bit more than this 320x200 pixel look would be nice. ;)
I can't speak highly enough of the Blackwell games, all of which I completed this week. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, awesome, excellent adventure games.

I'll check them too. Thanks! But so far the graphics is not very convincing. Even reading the text in the game is a pain.

The Blackwell games seem to be a bit better. I've just tried the Blackwell Epiphany demo and it's at least partially rendered in 640x400.

Are the Blackwell games rather independent of each other or would I have to play them in a specific order to follow the story?

You have to play them in the correct order or otherwise you would have no idea what's going on.

Blackwell Legacy -> Blackwell Unbound -> Blackwell Convergence -> Blackwell Deception -> Blackwell Epiphany

That sounds even more stringent than I was afraid of. :)

It used to be more obvious until they decided to split the games.
