75% off King's Bounty: Dark Side, Men of War: Assault Squad, Master of Orion 1+2 and more.

War can be a cruel thing but also a minefield of buried opportunities. If you can navigate and survive it, brave the surrealism and inhumanity of it all, the spoils you will unearth might just seem worth the trouble. Especially if they are of the magical variety. But you need to be bold, ambitious, and occasionally desperate. You also need to keep your eyes on the prize, whether it is that Enchanted Tiara of Painful Headbutts, glorious immortality, or the promise of a better tomorrow. And no matter your prefered reward for going to war, you will definitely find it in our Weekend Promo: The Bold and the Bountiful.

If it is strategic glory and historical participation that you seek, you will find yourself in good company among the Men of War, swapping stories with your fellow Soldiers: Heroes of World War II or raining death from above on your IL-2 Sturmovik. But warfare can also be whimsical and exhilarating when you are out seeking the King's Bounty, either by jumping between Crossworlds or by role-playing your Dark Side fantasies. It can also be more subtle than just causing Total Annihilation on the enemy forces by launching a Massive Assault, as wars are often decided by stealthily bringing Death to Spies. So try on your many Faces of War and be sure to claim your just rewards as a veteran of the virtual battlefields.

Boldly fight your way towards plentiful loot and long-lasting fame with our Weekend Promo: The Bold and the Bountiful of 35+ titles going for 75% off, including Space Rangers HD, Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power, Master of Orion 1+2, Perimeter and more. The promo will last until January 26, 4:59 AM GMT.
Folks, I'm begging: purchase tons of games from this promos so we can see more and more rusky games here on GOG!
Jokes aside, I'd love to see Аллоды: Печать тайны (Rage of Mages) and games like Marauder and Echelon in here! :D

IronArcturus: How is that Fantasy Wars game?
I really liked Fantasy Wars, as well as the sequel Elven Legacy which isn't available on GoG yet. The setting is as generic as fantasy gets, but the gameplay is like some sort of hex turn-based Warhammer Horned Rat/Dark Omen where units carry across battles collecting magic items & experience, and can also suffer permadeath. Definitely my cup of tea.

groze: Oh, the good old days when I had 97 games on GOG... (T-T)

BrokenBull: 454? Σ(゜ロ゜;)
How many did you finish?
Oddly enough, I did finish around 95% of them, my backlog is kind of small. It helps that I tend to prefer action and adventure games that don't take me years to finish. *o*

Sorry to nose in (or better, dive in) but HOW did you finish +400 games in 2.5 years? Wow! Clapping in here!
Correct me if I'm wrong, please ;)
Sadly I already own all I want from this promo...Ah, well - there will be another one

I did buy a lot of games on GOG that serve as digital backup of games I already own in physical format. Also, I play a lot of adventure games, that usually can be finished in a day or two, and I don't like cRPGs or strategy games, that are often those kind of games you can't take breaks of or interspersedly play with other games, so, I'm usually playing two or three games at a given time.

Unfortunately, having been unemployed until four months ago also helped with having time for video games.

Enebias: You can save anytime, and this is a big positive point in my book.
Nice! Playing completely "iron man" in the long, difficult missions in Hitman definitely wasn't easy. I'll buy DtS, and let me know if the sequel is any good if you get to play it this weekend :)

Thanks for the info, and keep it positive, my dear tuga! You'll find something in no time, I'm pretty sure.
And... I... I thought at first "well, dude's gotta be unemployed". Meany me, I know, but just think about all the stuff you've learned, enjoyed and all the fun you've had, eh? :D

Is the gameplay similar to Battle Worlds Kronos?

If they put 'em out, odds are they'll be purchased. Still waiting for the sequels to Star Wolves to show up.

I said Elven Legacy.

Matruchus: So how is Kings Bounty: The Legend gameplay wise? Is it similar to HOMM 3?
If you imagine a single player map, with no castle and no AI opponents, only wandering monsters, then yes, it's quite similar. Because of that, there is no point for a turn based movement on the strategic map (it's on real time).
The monsters are moving a bit on the map, they even chase you if they think they could beat you.

Apart from what sergeant_citrus already said, I could mention:

1. The whole game it's only a huge single player campaign, but it will take you 50-100 hours to finish it.

2. You can hire troops to your main (and only) hero from several buildings, but the numbers of troops are limited by your hero Leadership. Every kind of troop has a leaderhip point (the stronger the troop, the higher the leadership).
For ex. Peasants have 5 leadership, while Ents have 260 leadership.

If your hero has 1000 Leadership, he can have, in any army slot: 200 Peasants or 3 Ents (or any other troop you can find, but with a total leadership no larger than your hero leadership - 1000, in my example)
Your hero has 5 army slots, so you can have 200 Peasants in slot 1, 3 Ents in slot 2 and so on.

You can't have more than 200 peasants in your army until you raise your hero leadership (by leveling up, investing skill points, visiting special objects etc). Once you have 1005 leadership you can have 201 Peasants (201 units x 5 leadership/unit = 1005 leadership).

There is a lot to be said about King's Bounty, mostly very nice things. I'm a big fan of Heroes 2 and 3 and I liked all King's Bounty games more than Heroes 5.

For 1,5$ it's a steal.

No idea, sorry. Can’t say I've played that one.

The second game was apparently borked, so GoG may have their work cut out for them.
