The cornerstones of every strategist's collection: up to 80% off the Eador series, Stronghold Crusader HD, Battle Realms, and more!

What do all great strategic thinkers have in common? Well, they are able to see the big picture and make the necessary sacrifices, even under stress. They always plan one step ahead of their opponent. They have a perfectly detailed imprint of their chin at the back of their right hand. But more importantly, they always seek fresh challenges. Like the ones that await you around this Strategy Corner, with an inspiring discount strategically placed on top of them. Your move, general.

RTS and city-building gameplay elements collide in the blood-soaked Arabian lands. Build your own castle, amass great armies and lay siege upon heavily fortified settlements as the Stronghold Crusader HD.

An epic game of thrones in the fantasy-coated realms of the orient? Yes, please! Battle Realms and its expansion Winter of the Wolf see the clans of the Dragon, the Wolf, the Serpent, and the Lotus go at each other's throats with their trained fighters, ninjas, and spellcasters.

Slip through the cracks of a procedurally-generated galaxy ruled by our mechanical overlords and wage a desperate AI War against their oppressive rule. The odds are against you but humanity needs your real-time combat skills and your strategic planning in order to fight back.

Turn that Strategy Corner and gain a vantage point over these diverse and unforgiving battlefields. Put your plans to the test and conquer the challenges inside King of Dragon Pass, The Last Federation, Pacific General, Frozen Synapse, and many more! The promo will last until March 15, 4:59 AM GMT.

timppu: When you add both Frozen Synapse and Frozen Synapse: Red to the purchase list, you get two notes:

"Please note that Frozen Synapse: Red is already included in Frozen Synapse"

"Please note that you are required to own Frozen Synapse on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play Frozen Synapse: Red"

In the Frozen Synapse gamecard it doesn't seem to mention anything about the Red DLC being included.

So is it, or is it not? If one buys only Frozen Synapse, does it include it all? What's the dealio here? Is someone trying to pull a quick one on me, huh? Or a slow one?
There's a thread here mentioning this problem which confused me in the Winter Sale:

mrkgnao: Do I remember correctly that the game does not have save and load options, only autosave on every turn, so any mistake you make is final?
avatar
Vythonaut: Correct, it's like playing Ironman mode. And the game being hard makes it even better.
Did you actually finish it?
Passing .

No, at least not yet. :P I want to get back for a fresh start though since the last game I played didn't do well. The only thing I'm afraid is the unavoidable loss of sleep once again... :P

Vythonaut: If you enjoyed any of the classic strategy games such as Heroes, Disciples, Age of Wonders etc just buy this game. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and at that price it's a steal. ;)

Nah you can always go back to the last turn autosave, it is called turn back time in the game and has no gameplay penalty except some final score points, I recommend to use it often, especially while learning the game. You could also backup this autosave file if you want more save points.
Oh an it is the best game ever, it is all you ever waited for if you like this type of game. Get it!

PS: You could always try the New Horizons mod addon which for some reason is a free standalone download on the official eador.com site. Basically the same game with much more stuff.

Nice promo, although I already own almost everything I'm interested in.

Space Colony has been on my radar for ages, but every time I considered it I read the reviews and pull back...
I added 4 more games to my collection. I wanted to buy a few more including space colony, but the negative reviews put me off.

Same here, I got excited and then read about the Sims-heavy focus and thought, too bad.
Did anyone here manage to run the Linux version of Frozen Synapse with one of the 'radeon' or 'amdgpu' open-source graphics drivers?
On my Debian Sid it crashes when attempting to draw the first window.

More details here:

(I can still run the Windows version through WINE, this one works flawlessly)

op2017: Dark Colony
I think I have a CD with this game somewhere... I don't think I rated it highly back in 90s but it was a very decent RTS. Maybe I should find it...

musteriuz: I'm also struggling to figure out whether Red is standalone or expansion.
avatar
Grargar: It's not standalone. It requires the base game.

Ouch! I almost got bit by the Last Federation "Collection". I already own the base game, but this "collection" doesn't take that into account... the collection costs more than if I you just buy the two expansions separately. That usually doesn't happen, right?

Even worse: I have the base game plus the two expansions (which together appears to be the same as the Collection)... yet the collection is still shown non-owned for me. I almost accidentally bought it now, but I got a feeling it would be odd I haven't bought it already... and yeah I have. Luckily I checked it.

I really hope this would be fixed, I think it affects some other games too.

Considering this bug has been present since late 2013 (Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold Edition) and has been complained about countless times for different games, I wouldn't hold my breath.
