Stars are rising, prices are dropping! Up to 80% off Risen 3, Metro: Last Light Redux, Sacred 2, and more!

Falling stars have been associated with supernatural occurrences and have caused many a spiritual pondering since the dawn of time. Do they bring luck? Are they omens of terrible catastrophes? Is God just bored, throwing pebbles at the big ponds we call oceans? It's hard to tell. <span class="bold">Risen Stars</span>, however, have a much simpler connotation: they bring great discounts to all Atari and Deep Silver titles on our catalogue! Catching them before they disappear in the sky may not score you that coveted promotion or a lottery win but we promise it will keep you entertained for a loooong time!

Your soul has been stolen by an evil Shadow Lord and now you must rise and fight to reclaim it. Roam a land ravaged by the Titans, align yourself with one of three factions, collect loot, and wield powerful magic in the vast world of Risen 3.

Caught between warring groups of survivors, the looming presence of extraterrestrial visitors, and the savage mutants, Artyom must scour the metro tunnels of post-apocalyptic Moscow and become his people's Last Light in this chilling survival FPS.

He is Riddickulously cool. He is Riddickulously deadly. He has a Riddickulous plan: to escape Dark Athena unscathed. Not happening. Lucky for us, since that means we can now tag along as he slices, dices, blasts, and sneaks past everyone in his way. A movie-inspired FPS done right? You better believe it.

Need any help counting all the <span class="bold">Risen Stars</span>? There are more than 20 in here and among them Saints Row: The Third, Alone in the Dark, Sacred 2, Rollercoaster Tycoon and many more. Just look how bright they shine! The promo will last until February 23, 7:59 AM GMT.
I have what I want out of this already here or elsewhere. Save up for next week..

adamhm: I'd really like to buy the Metro Redux games, but the Linux versions still aren't available here :(

Matruchus: Damn Metro has a really nice discount but still no Linux version. Hm, what to do.
Buy it. I bought it in winter sale 2015 (same discount as current promo). And it seems GOG works to release Linux and Mac versions. The lack of Linux and Mac versions is not related to developer/publisher.
Both Metro 2033 and Last Light are atmospheric games. Very good post-apocalyptic FPS. However, the linearity of Metro series may annoy some gamers and you shouldn't expect something similar to STALKER, FO3 or FONV. Expect a good shooter with post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
IMO, it's a mistake to miss Metro Redux with such good discount.

OH MY GOODNESS! How to pick which one(s) to buy? Thankfully I already own several of these.

I have the old, non-redux, version of Metro 2033 on that other shop :-( (Disc was only for show); Is the redux so much better that it is worth it?

Buying them now would be pointless as they're not playable on Linux and we have no idea when (or even if) the Linux versions will be added, plus it's not like they won't be on sale again later. Best to wait until the Linux versions are available before buying.

I have no idea why they're being kept back here; I ended up buying them on Steam a while back & they run almost perfectly there.

Also no-one from GOG will let us know what kind of issues are holding back their release here so there's nothing we can do to help. I did ask about the possibility of them making the Linux builds available on an unsupported/"at own risk" basis on request so I/we could help test them, but they declined.

It's especially aggravating for me as I avoided buying them on Steam for a long time hoping they'd be released here and I even wrote to Deep Silver asking about it... and then when they were finally released here the Linux versions were not included.

I honestly find the Metro-games very overrated. I pushed myself through 2033, never finished Last Light. I know a lot of other people love those games though, maybe my taste in gaming is just weird :P

I'm considering grabbing the first Risen. Is it good?
Great promo, lot's of games for me to get here, and I will.
high rated
Great promo, but I also have to echo people who are calling for the Metro Linux versions to be here (not that I use Linux; I just support them). I'd also encourage GOG and Deep Silver to work out a deal to bring the original Metro (non-Redux) versions here.

Well, if Linux version is a must-have feature for you, then I agree you should wait for an official confirmation. My post is based on users (including myself) who don't really care about non-Windows versions. A Linux version makes me happy and I want it too, but I'm a Windows user and Linux is not a priority for me.

Smannesman: Hmm a couple of games I'm considering, a more interesting promo than I've seen in a while.
I doubt I'll be getting RIsen 3 for 50% off though.
I would have liked to see a bigger discount for owners of Risen 1 & 2. I too will likely pass on it for now.
Great promo, I have already bought:

• both Metros: 2033 is a very good game with an imposing atmosphere, very immersive due to the great UI, solid gameplay, great visuals, well, any FPS lover should play it.... Haven't played LL yet so I can't comment on it.
• Riddick: highly recommended - keep in mind you're getting two games, one of them offers stealthier gameplay and the other has more direct action going on, can't remember which is which but both of them are great and very immersive
• Blood: well, just buy it! Lot's of fun!
• Saints Row the Third: I had great expectations from that after seeing some videos and reading some reviews, but I'm not sure if I like it so far. I find the AI somewhat dumb, also the driving doesn't appeal much to me.. Haven't progressed the story yet, just messing around stealing whatever has wheels & wings, messing with the cops & gangs and trying stuff. Typical of me.

I may buy Blood II, since I haven't played it for 10 years or more and I would like to revisit it.
If one is to only get a single Rollercoaster Tycoon, which should it be?

I would say RCT 2, since is kinda a RCT 1 improved and I don't like the 3D approach. But that depends on what are you looking for.

Edit: I will only buy the Metro games when the Linux versions arrive.

Azhdar: 1. Is Act of War similar to Command & Conquer: Generals?
I haven't played Generals, but since virtually every single review I've ever read of this game (and the TB livestream I watched) likens it to C&C: Generals, I'd say yes. ;) At any rate, it's a very fun game (though the load times are atrocious).
Any news about the Linux version of the Metro games?
Interested in Risen 1 don't know about Risen 2 if i will buy it.
Also want to buy saint row 2 and 3.
Mother told me that i will get uncles pc so i can play these games then.
