Up to 90% off essential classics like Pirates! Gold Plus, Total Annihilation, Master of Orion Collector's Edition, Bloodrayne, and more!

Despite the staggering variety of fantasy worlds we've been treated to throughout the years, it's not all that common that you find vampires, pirates, and space aliens hanging out in the same place. And yet, that's exactly what happens inside the joined catalogs of Retroism + Wargaming + Majesco! So take advantage of the up to -90% discounts, go meet this intriguing mosaic of diverse characters, and make them play nice.

Darklands invites you to a 15th-century fantasy world steeped in hardships, spooky folktales, and fanaticism. The incredible details, oppressive atmosphere, and heavy customization options on your four-member party will remind you why this grim RPG has withstood the test of time.

What happens when our first contact with an alien civilization comes with a warning about the imminent extinction of the human race? Advent Rising explores that grim scenario with gusto, offering solid action/adventure gameplay and awesome psychic powers.

Few real-time strategies have depicted mass-scale battles as successfully as the Total Annihilation series. Warfare between armies of mean machines or creatures of immense magic never stops being fascinating, especially when coupled with robust mechanics and great units diversity.

Looking for thrills, tactical challenges, gory action, or even relaxed swashbuckling? You'll find it all in the combined Retroism + Wargaming + Majesco catalogs, going for up to 90% off. Pick between Bloodrayne, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Requiem: Avenging Angel, Master of Orion Collector's Edition, or the dozens of other gems.
The promo will last until October 18, 3:59 AM UTC.

But that's not all! Starting today, We Are The Dwarves, the squad-based action/adventure with the unique space setting, is 33% off for an indefinite amount of time!
I'll consider this my monthly reminder that I've never played any of the Master of Orion games. As someone who isn't huge on micromanagement, which one would be the best to start with if I were to actually get one now?
nice. i have just extended my eternal backlog by five retroismatic pieces - darklands, deadlock 1 and 2, b-17 flying fortress, f117a nighthawk stealth fighter..

my only luck is not being interested in new games too :-)
Bought two games I didn't originally intend to get, but the combined price was less than 3 dollars. So, I said why not?

Going to save the rest of my money though for the fall sale.

HunchBluntley: It's time once again for me to offer someone a copy of Dragonsphere.
Will there be any takers this time? Only time will tell...
I think not. No, really, if you like old pnc, grab this free copy. I got it when it was free. It's flawed, like 90% of olf pnc, but hey great plot twist.
Has anyone tried Uprising 2 on Win7 at all?
why od you sell them the game

Good post.
Reminder that if you don't own Pajama Sam Vol. 1 at least, you're a terrorist. (The only game I can recommend in Vol. 2 is Pajama Sam 3 unfortunately - vs. PS 1 & 2 in Vol. 1 - so Vol. 1 is the better deal. Pajama Sam 3 is still a solid game though, and it's about food so that's always good.)

Cecco: Damn, where are ALL THE OTHER Ron Gilbert games? The Cave, DeathSpank...will we get Thumbleweed Park? There are the existential questions. EDIT: oh and of course Maniac Mansion, and the real Monkey Island Games ;) But we know Disney.
Meanwhile I'll get me Ron Gilberts' Pajama Sam and Total Annihilation games.
The Cave is SEGA; I could actually see EA bringing Deathspank here in an upcoming batch, it is surprising it isn't here yet; we'll probably get Thimbleweed Park; and there are probably legal issues with bringing the original LucasArts stuff we're missing.

On the subject of Disney's LucasArts stuff though, if you're passionate about that, I'd suggest tweeting Seth Davis - "Head of Big Picture (TV/PC) Digital Games at Disney Interactive" - and letting him know you want more Disney/LucasArts stuff here. (assuming you have a Twitter account) He's the Disney guy who's worked with GOG.

I guess the jig is up. I surrender! How did you know?

On a more serious tone, I've never even played one the Humongous games. Am I really missing out on that much?

The first Master of Orion is macro oriented and should be the one to go if you don't mind the old graphics.

Sniskerbobberton: As a 4X fan is the Master of Orion reboot worth its weight in gold?
It's not a great great game but i am still enjoying it and a bigger patch should come at the end of the month with new features. I think it's worth it. I wouldn't go for huge galaxies as the micromanagement of the colonies can be really boring if you have too many of them (and the autobuild isn't working well).

Thank you! The older graphics are fine so I'll see about starting there.

Thanks Anguille for your input, I'll hold off to see if the bigger patch improves it some.

Probably not if you didn't grow up with the games. If you like humorous, simple-but-charming point and click adventures (they are aimed at kids) you might like them.

You can check out the game here (but don't spoil it if you plan on getting the game!). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c0gqPBx8BE
The wallpapers alone made the price for BloodRayne worth it.. :P

By the way, has anyone here been able to play the game with a Xbox 360-controller? I couldn't get the right stick to work, and Rayne moves sideways even while I'm not touching the controller.
