Up to 75% off Falcon Collection, Two Worlds 2, Pajama Sam, Colonization, Warlords Battlecry and more...

Remember that game? You know the one, we used to play it so much! It's been years, I don't really remember much - but I do know it was one of the best things ever. What was it called again? Whatever... chances are, you'll find it in our newest Retro Mishmash - where childhood memories and utter classics collide at up to 75% off!

Releasing just in time to join the promo, the Falcon Collection is one of those games you've probably played before, even if you didn't know exactly what it was - it was pretty fascinating. And if you did play it intentionally - you've probably wished you could try it again for just a while. Now, the entire collection of the most realistic and in-depth simulators of the era is here including Falcon, Falcon A.T., Falcon 3.0 and a your-mileage-may-vary bonus goodie: Falcon 4.0!

Of course, that's not all - there's also Pajama Sam - a quirky and educational adventure title perfect for children of all ages. Yes, ALL ages.
Pirates! Gold Plus is a trip back in time in more ways than one. Not only do you get live out an open-world pirate fantasy as told in one of Sid Meier's cult hits - you can do it 1987 OR 1993 style. Sid Meier's Colonization, on the other hand, will have you attempting to fulfill your very own Manifest Destiny - a New World awaits those ingenious enough to prosper.

Retro Mishmash is a true variety of retro games it'd be kinda cool to play again - all up to 75% off. The promo will last until Tuesday, October 27, 3:59 AM GMT.

Yeah, most of the prices seems to be too low. Many games at 0.99 $, which I doubt!!

It's just that user's opinion about the value of those games, not a real price.

I find most of those prices extremely low too.
All of us want the best deal, but let's just say that there should be realistic limits on that. Games don't come from nothing.
I've been eyeing Redline and Slave Zero ...

drealmer7: Rex Nebular finally!!!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Amazing game! Can't say I knew it before GOG.
How much am I missing by never having played a Pajama Sam game?

Depends if you like amusing point and click adventures, or not. (Ron Gilbert was involved with them and other Humongous games.) They are focused on kids and only take about an hour each to complete (far less if you don't savor the "click-it" animations unrelated to the game), but I think adults can enjoy them too.

Each "Vol." here contains two adventure games and one arcade-style game.

I showed one of PS youtube's let's play to my 8 year old son yesterday - and he seemed to be interested. I'm going to try to play the game with him (I'll serve as a translator) and I hope we will enjoy it. Any recommendations which game should we play first (own both GOG volumes)?

Yeah, I just checked it out too and also believe the prices are far too low. Yet there is one game where the price is too high.

Warhammer®: Shadow of the Horned Rat at $0.99? Considering the game is broken, it shouldn't even be sold until it's fixed.

Just what were those prices based on anyway?

KasperHviid: I already have Gorky 17, so nothing for me this time ... though I considered Jack Orlando solely because it matches my mouse pad:

andysheets1975: How is Gorky 17? I keep putting it on and off my wishlist.

I'm thinking I'll get Sword of the Samurai and probably Challenge of the Five Realms.
Actually .. I hadn't played Gorky 17 yet, but you inspired me to give it a quick spin. My first impression:

This game is good. For one thing, you don’t have to read the manual - if you have ever played any squad turn-based, you can dive right in. The gameplay is solid, and there is a certain charm to it. This is monster killing, intervened with some exploration and some so-bad-its-good dialog. If you like action movies from the eighties and G.I.-Joe figures, this is right up your alley.

This is a really fresh take on squad turn-based, being a successful middleground between that and a chess game. Your characters can only move about four steps, and each weapon is not only limited by distance, but also by direction. For instance, the pistol can only fire vertical and horizontal. This sounds weird, but once you’re in the game, it doesn’t feel forced.

Using a certain weapon makes the character better skilled at using it, and you can level up and put xp into various stats: hit points, walk range, luck, accuracy, counter attack, calmness. I’m not far enough into the game to say much about this.

The graphic has a certain helplessness to it. The 3D figures and the 2D backgrounds looks kinda thrown-together. Still, the animations are good and the locations are gritty and super detailed. So it’s kind of a mixed bag, like reading a Stephen King novel with spelling errors throughout. Also, the in-game video sequences are broken.

There is only one difficulty level, and I suspect it is rather hard. I’ll have to see how far I can get.

The first adventure game (No Need to Hide) one seems to be pretty much universally regarded as the best one and I think so too. However, the first three (No Need To Hide, Thunder and Lightning, and You Are What You Eat) are all very good and similar. You could probably play them in any order, saving the best for last or playing the best one first. :)

The fourth one (Life Is Rough) I never played "back in the day" and just recently tried it for a few minutes. There's a new voice actress for Sam who just doesn't have the "gumption" and raspy voice that Pamela Adlon gave Sam (and came across as a bit too feminine), and the voice sync with the animation seemed pretty bad. That said, it might be worth a go.

You can try Lost & Found or Sock Works if you want to have a go at some arcade-style gameplay or non-adventure puzzle solving.

Steam also has Sam's Games to Play on Any Day for 4.99 so it'd be nice to see that show up, perhaps at 5.99 (or perhaps bundled for 9.99 with Sam's "One Stop Fun Shop" which isn't on Steam), but it isn't an adventure game nor all that popular.

-----

Unrelated to above, here's an idea for how the rest of the games (on Steam) might be bundled/priced here on GOG:

The Spy Fox bundle on Steam is $20 -
Spy Fox 1 + Spy Fox 2 + Cheese Chase for 9.99
Spy Fox 3 + Hold the Mustard for 9.99

The Freddi Fish bundle on Steam is $35:
Freddi Fish 1 + Freddi Fish 2 + Water Worries for 9.99
Freddi Fish 3 + Maze Madness for 9.99
Freddi Fish 4 + 5 for 9.99 or maybe
Freddi Fish 4 for 5.99
Freddi Fish 5 for 5.99

The Putt-Putt bundle on Steam is $50 -
Putt-Putt Parade + Moon + Activity Pack for 9.99
Putt-Putt Circus + Parade for 9.99
Putt-Putt Zoo + Time for 9.99
Balloon O-Rama + Dog on a Stick + Pep's Birthday Surprise for 9.99
(Only adds up to $40 here but whatevs)

Just some ideas.
Any opinions on BloodNet or Challenge of the Five Realms?

I just turn it on for the first time since I got in a sale quite some time ago. After a painfully long C-movie acted intro, the game became well-written and interesting. Worth the 1.49 if it interests you at all to try I would think. Microprose is usually a good buy from that era, too. Even with roughness, it probably has things worth playing about it.

Rex Nebular is a really good one too!
