Piranjade: Did I miss something? I own the boxed version of Titan Quest and multiplayer worked just fine the last time I tried it.

omega64: It used Gamespy, it shut down.
I'm pretty sure it used Gamespy at least.
I just looked at the box, yep, you're right, Gamespy. Dang it.

phaolo: Darksiders II is fixed now, right?
So, I'll have to decide if I need it or if DS1 is enough.
avatar
IronArcturus: I've read that some of the stability issues have been fixed for DS2, but for some reason the button prompts are apparently messed up. They just show up as black boxes, but I don't know how that will affect gameplay.
Mmmh...

Only relevant if you use a controller apparently.

Does the game work better with a controller or mouse&kb?

Both work, I completed both using m&k.
I tried with a controller, it works just as well.

fronzelneekburm: I can't find the specific thread right now and my memory is a bit hazy... IIRC they were Painkiller Overdose, ArcaniA, The Mystery of the Druids and a few others.
Also Dungeon Lords and Spellforce 2: Faith in Destiny.

Depends. It doesn't affect gameplay much, if you have cheatsheet with the combos and control mappings. Except cheat sheet is not context sensitive. The game sometimes give you hints "now would be a good time to summon Despair, use <LT>+<RT> to do it". Another problem, I didn't find anything like that online, and was too lazy to download and install my pre-dethinitive copy and make one. Having to discover the controls by trial and error is not much fun. Some are obvious, but I gave up with combat moves and used only basic attack through the whole game.
A very good promo :D
I finally can buy Impossible Creatures ! :D

One small question concerning Alien Nations : can you speed up the game ?
Edit : I just found the answer in one review : "The game already has a speed-up command. Just press F5, F6 or F7 to adjust the speed.[...]"

Nothing for me it seems. Very nice discount on the Darksiders series though.

Nordic, you could have at least released your alleged new patch for Darksiders 2 before trying to convince everyone to buy your broken ass port. Or at the very least, reinstated the perfectly functional original version.

I suggest to everyone: do not buy Darksiders II until Nordic finally release their latest patch and it proves the game is actually fully functional.

Not even close I'm afraid., DSII is still a complete trainwreck with headache inducing vsync problems, broken anti-aliasing, gameplay bugs and extreme stability issues.

If I have Darksiders 2 and Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition, I should stick to playing the original version?

Yes.

The original looks worlds better, plays better and doesn't constantly crash.

Thanks. I need to get a move on with my backlog.

Is it just the new engine that has all the issues? Does the GOG version of DS2 still have the old engine?
