IronArcturus: There was a post in the Darksiders forum that mentioned issues with a patch, but I can't tell if it's for Darksiders 1 or 2.
avatar
huan: It's for DS2.

avatar
IronArcturus: That sounds good! So with Win7, the button prompts should work ok and the Xbox 360 controller works as well?
avatar
huan: Controller itself works fine, but I never saw the button prompts other than as black rectangles, on any version available on GOG. They show correctly if I switch to keyboard + mouse.
Yeah, so it must have been the patch that changed the prompts to black rectangles. That's a shame. I wonder why it was never fixed?
Really debating Darksiders 2 at that price. I held off before because this version sounded like a mess but the discussions here give me cautious hope...
Shame there's still no Ulmanac Edition upgrade for the The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. Nice discounts just the same. Cheers!

My cautious hope is that ThomNG will notice this discussion and crack a whip at someone responsible :)

I wouldn't mind another playthrough, this time with more than just the one basic attack available.

I agree. They still need to fix the patch issues with DS2.

Hopefully, it tends to feel like pulling teeth when it comes to devs/pubs owning up to their responsibilities sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if fans patch out any remaining issues before the actual devs/pubs these days.

Niggles: Whats the holdup with bringing Titan Quest here? the multiplayer wont make or break the game as its supposed to be a singleplayer game
It's currently going through several patches on Steam, so I hope we will get it once they reach a final patch state (or rather those patches end up leaving beta status). The improvements made so far are quite impressive!
Couldn't resist Darksiders this time... Cheers. :)

amrit9037: We don't want Titan Quest: Gold Edition multiplayer right now!!!
We want single player mode.
Give us that and keep doing whatever you are doing with multiplayer mode. :P
avatar
haydenaurion: This. If Nordic is waiting on GOG Galaxy or something for multiplayer, I think they'll be waiting awhile.
Did I miss something? I own the boxed version of Titan Quest and multiplayer worked just fine the last time I tried it.
avatar
fronzelneekburm: Hopefully, gog will reconsider soon and release the Nordic titles they rejected.
avatar
guppy44: Just curious, which titles did they reject? Nordic has a very nice library. :)
I can't find the specific thread right now and my memory is a bit hazy... IIRC they were Painkiller Overdose, ArcaniA, The Mystery of the Druids and a few others.

It used Gamespy, it shut down.
I'm pretty sure it used Gamespy at least.
Darksiders II is fixed now, right?
So, I'll have to decide if I need it or if DS1 is enough.

I've read that some of the stability issues have been fixed for DS2, but for some reason the button prompts are apparently messed up. They just show up as black boxes, but I don't know how that will affect gameplay.
