Up to 80% off Rise of the Triad (2013), F.E.A.R. Platinum, Mortal Kombat, Unreal Tournament, and more!

Shooters, slashers, guts and gory! Crazy insane or insane crazy, when we say promo, you say frenzy - it's a true seasonal May(hem) with the biggest guns, bloodiest gibs, and deals from 50-80% off! May we cause ALL the chaos this weekend.

If we're talking insanity, then F.E.A.R. Platinum is where we should start: a mindbending threat and badass slowmo combos come together for that perfect blend of "I don't know what I'm doing, but I ain't stopping." If we're talking frantic - then the fast and precise Unreal Tournament games are there to scratch the old-school itch whether you're in it for the gibs or the glory. Coincidentally, if you look up "gory" in the dictionary you'll find a picture of Mortal Kombat next to a severed spine - go ahead, it's a fine way to set the weekend promo mood.

Finally, since we're on the topic of mayhem, then we can't help but think Rise of the Triad 2013: unapologetically old-school, it's the only modern, moddable, multiplayer and mayhem filled title that connects players across both Steamworks and GOG Galaxy. With the latest update (live now!), there's no better time to get weird, get wild and GET LUDICROUS.

All that and more, including SiN Gold, Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000, Rise of the Triad: Dark War, Shadow Warrior and so much more, are here to cause every kind of unseemly circumstance and the ultimate May(hem). 25 games at 50-80% off are on sale until Tuesday, May 26, 3:59 AM GMT.

Grargar: Also, BUY BLOOD!
Thanks for the list again, but I think you're supposed to donate Blood not buy it.

Grargar: Also, BUY BLOOD!
How well has it aged control-wise? does it play well w/ arrow keys + ctrl, alt, delete. Or do you have to fiddle around w/ the config to get mouselook + wasd to work, in which case doesn't this game have autoaim? (meaning your bullets gravitate towards the enemey)
Owned all but 3 of these, but picked up Unreal 2 anyway. You know, since I had the rest :P

You shouldn't use mouse look for Build Engine games, since they are not 3D and aiming at specific body parts is not important (plus there is autoaim), though I know some people do.

I play them with arrow keys + Ctrl and Space.

same here... some bug "Shadow Warrior (2013)" vs "Shadow Warrior 2013"

gamesfreak64: And finally: belgian is funny to hear (not that french stuff)
??? Why so much hate to the french-speaking Belgians ??? :o)

BTW, "wiste gij dat" is commonly used in Vlaanderen. But I haven't yet heard/read of the "witte" version (except maybe from some vlamingen near the border)

Well suppose I could do that, the only problem is that my keyboard has a windows key and some other key in between the ctrl and alt key. So that means my fingers would be spread out more than usual and I could accidentally hit the windows key and exit out of the program... so there that...

You can reconfigure your keys.

Yes, the game features auto-aim, just like other Build Engine games (like Duke Nukem 3D and the original Shadow Warrior). I played it with WASD and mouselook (and used this DOSBox launcher for some more visual options and for bmouse, which enables better vertical aiming).

I played through the entire main campaign with the standard keyboard controls. Works really well, but like most Build Engine games, the numpad works better for movement than the regular arrow keys, partially because some other controls, like moving the view up/down (pg up, pg down) or using inventory items (enter) are grouped with those.
It has built in mouse aim (I think you can activate it by pressing either "U" or "ctrl+U"), but the game's not really designed for that and it's rather rudimentary.
Like pretty much every shooter from before the advent of mouse aiming, it does feature auto-aim. In fact, the assisted aiming seems to be way more pronounced here than in similar titles. And honestly, you'll be glad it is, because this game is hard, particularly the first episode. I consider it to be one of the greatest shooters of all time, but the difficulty can be quite brutal at times.

Yep, same here. I own it and can download it from my library, but it shows as not owned on the promo page.

I suspect that the current Shadow Warrior 2013 listing in the catalog is actually a bundle of the original and DX11 versions of Shadow Warrior 2013 (the two versions have separate listings in the library). Did you purchase prior to the release of the DX11 version? I did. My guess is that the DX11 version was added to the accounts of previous buyers, but the new bundle product wasn't, so we own all the parts of the bundle but not the bundle itself.

This is a problem with several games in the catalog (Sword of the Stars, Omerta, others). It'd be nice if GOG would update the site to handle bundles properly... If all components are owned, the bundle should also be marked as owned.

ZFR: How is Shadow Warrior 2013? I've liked the original and the new one is on my wishlist, so I'm very tempted to get it with such a discount?

Only hesitant because some remastered games (RoTT for example) turned out real crappy. Was Shadow Warrior done properly?
It's a very different humour but the game is a very good shooter, imho the only thing it's missing is a sequel.
Some nice games in this sale. Think I'll pick up F.E.A.R. and Double Dragon Trilogy.

Random_Coffee: I've been on the fence about buying SiN hundreds of times, as I've heard very mixed things about it, is it good?

triple_l: Your avatar is Thief right?
So if I say to you Sin was released 1 month before Thief and features a steath map would that convince you?
Yes, the avatar is Thief :D A stealth level does sound interesting, I will look it up on YouTube, and see how well the stealth-aspect is done.

I bought the game before it was unbundled and it shows as owned to me.
