Make some time for timeless classics: 60% off gems like the Ultima series, Dungeon Keeper Gold, and Jade Empire, or 85% off the whole package!

If you've been a gamer for more than one month, chances are you've already crossed paths with Electronic Arts by now. It's no coincidence, since their catalog is choke-full of (still unsurpassed) classics from any genre imaginable: Looking for a deep strategic experience? A point'n'click adventure that fans still hold dear to this day? Epic RPGs revered by enthusiasts for their groundbreaking mechanics and impeccable execution? They're all here - pick the ones you missed for -60% or grab the entire selection for an unbeatable -85%!

Trailblazing, ambitious, hardcore: there are plenty of reasons why the Ultima games are still considered to be among the few landmark RPGs that withstood the test of time, thanks to their staggering attention to detail, innovative mechanics, and immersive world.

Can one of the best asian-themed action/RPGs of all time come from a western developer? Sure can, if it's Bioware we're talking about. Their Jade Empire won everyone over with its exotic locales, enchanting mysticism, intriguing character development, and fast-paced combat.

Now, how many fairytales let you play as the villain? And that's only one of the reasons why the often whimsical, occasionally twisted, and consistently magical Kyrandia series is still remembered fondly by point'n'click lovers everywhere.

Take a glance at the Electronic Arts collection and you'll immediately spot at least four classics. Take another and they're now a dozen! So go ahead and pick the ones you prefer for 60% off: Syndicate Plus, Theme Hospital, Crusader: No Remorse, Nox, or any of the others. Grab them all at once and it's 85% off!
The promo will last until October 11, 3:59 AM UTC.

Painted_Doll: Release Alice !!! :p ;)

Maighstir: American McGee's? That'd probably be a full-price purchase from me.
I've been waiting for GOG to get American McGee's Alice for years! It was such an immersive game with a creepy atmosphere! The wishlist has over 11,000 votes!

I'm afraid you'll have to turn to your country's legislator for this promo to happen. :P

Fairfox: These weekend promo sales need to be mixed up a bit.
avatar
mecharma: Any suggestions?
Here's an unordered incomplete list of games that haven't seen a promo in quite a while along with when they were last seen to the best of my knowledge:
GOGmix - Games overdue for a sale / promo

No love for Desert Strike?

skeletonbow: - It's too bad there isn't a "Machete" game starring Danny Trejo! Can you imagine how awesome that would be!!?!?!?!
Tried Broforce yet ?

Telika: Tried Broforce yet ?
LOL, no. I have Expendabros though, how close are the two games?

Update: I just went and watched the trailers for Broforce and they're pretty funny. The trailers pretty much sell the game even if you don't watch the video. LOL Wishlisted even though I generally have a huge distaste for retro pixel games, but every now and then one comes along that may deserve an exception on its own right.

Typo: the phrase is chock-full, not choke-full.

LOL, dunno how that one got by me, I must not have read it. Can't let something like that slide by... :)
I really wanted to complete my set but since EA added regional pricing for their newest releases, and these games still haven't been updated, I'm going to wait until these prices are fixed up.

EA weekend promo
EA games on GOG

Notice something?
No, I don't mean the total lack of the games in the promo that haven't been discounted to hell and back.

There isn't a single Linux port/package.
That's EA for you.
I guess Linux users are named "dirty socialists" inside this mother of all hardcore capitalist companies.

Well deserved, EA.
There aren't any linux games because linux gamers like you are unfortunately in the tiny minority. It's not some kind of Right-Wing corporate conspiracy to keep Windows on top. Simply, if there isn't enough demand for a linux port of a game, there won't be one.

picheleiro: Although Linux gamer is a little bit an oxymoron
And why? I think Linux is exactly where the gaming world is going. Oh, and Android and Steam OS are Linux even if not GNU/Linux.
avatar
picheleiro: *Official Linux gamer seal of disapproval*
I used to think that, then I have found many times that the Linux installer is not worth having if it's just a SCUMMVM or DosBox wrap. I prefer using my own software to run it.
Sometimes the Linux version won't run and I will play the Windows version through Wine. So, what matters is enjoying our games.
For example, just today I installed Zandronum for Linux and gave it the WAD file from the "Windows" installer. I'm talking of Doom of course. Who cares if it does not say Linux. Lot, lot of fun and Strife will run there too.

aluinie: and me now the real ? is do i want to buy the 6 EA games i done have hhmm
And then they downvote non-English reviews because they can't read them. What language is this supposed to be?

12) The No Man's Sale Weekend Promo!
Genioso! They're all funny ideas, I want to see some of them put into practice.

Really, I think they all run properly in DOSBox or SCUMMVM. I have played several. Are you talking about proper Linux ports that are available elsewhere? Otherwise, why be so upset about it.

A DRM-free shop probably has more users of an DRM-free OS than you might think, but it doesn't matter, what I wanted to hint at was, that every one of the last few dozen promos I remember had some Linux ports in it (which you might not have noticed because you probably don't care) while everything marked as "owned by EA" categorically hasn't, resulting in the same effect on an EA promo of course. A promo without a single Linux port is a rarity these days, believe it or not. Look out for the little penguin icon in the future and you might get what I mean.

No, I don't. It's totally legal to sell all those games to adults in germany (except for the few with svastikas in it). I'm an adult, so GOG wouldn't get in trouble legally.
