Up to 80% off hidden gems like Corpse Party, Prison Architect, Raiden Legacy, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and more!

Sometimes the games that stay with you the longest are not the epic, loud, or visually impressive ones, but those who happen to come along when you're looking for something surprising and unconventional. Introversion + DotEmu + XSEED have plenty of that on offer, so if you're in the market for underground classics or out-of-the-box experiences, that's the right place for you. Especially with that handy up to 80% discount on them!

Have you ever attended an after school Corpse Party with your friends? It's not something you would forget: there are vengeful spirits, horrible secrets, and plenty of misplaced guts involved. If you navigate the mysteries and live to tell the tale, you'll be the talk of your school for ages to come! Shame about those you had to leave behind, though...

Every now and then you just need a good first-person RPG fix. Ishar Compilation will test your combat and orientation skills, as you're leading your party of five adventurers through the unfamiliar but rewarding dungeons where evil reigns supreme.

The pop culture has trained us to think of maximum security prisons as hellish backdrops for great breakout stories. Prison Architect lets you run the place and make sure that the conditions will not make your inmates itch for an escape. Not that they could pull it off, of course.

Looking for haunting stories, some old-school RPG fun, or a proper management challenge? It's all here inside the Introversion + DotEmu + XSEED catalogs, going for up to 80% off. Pick between Raiden Legacy, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Little King's Story, Defcon, or one of the other little-known gems.
The promo will last until November 22, 4:59 AM UTC.

IwubCheeze: Yes!!!!, Nothing for me this promo, back to the backlog :)

GabiMoro: Nothing for me, either.

My backlog consists of:
Heroes 3 Shadow of Death Campaings (replay)
Heroes 3 Chronicles (replay)

and a lot of games I've never played :
Baldur Gate's 2
Icewind Dale 1
Icewind Dale 2
Dreamfall The Longest Journey
Fallout 2
Outcast
Sacrifice
just to name a few.
My vote goes for Fallout 2. Start with that.

omega64: Chronicles doesn't have the action combat the rest has.
It has you bumping into enemies at an angle to damage them.
Just look for a video on it and you'll get it. :P
Origin is my favourite, I'd recommend you play it.
Btw Oath in Felghana is a remake of the 3rd game in the series. :P
Noice pal. Thanks!

FlamingFirewire: Have you played Ys VIII yet? It came out in Japan for the PS Vita this past summer, and from all accounts, seems to be heavily praised for being one of the best in the entire series. I haven't played it myself since I'm still waiting for the English localization, but I'd be curious to know if you'd like the newest entry considering you think the series has lost it's way in it's past two iterations.
Really? I have actually seen the opposite reactions in forums. They say that it is like Seven and that they doubled down on those "features" which is obviously bad. From the gameplay that I've seen, it certainly looked like that.
The biggest difference is that Adol morphed from a silent (non-Falcom titles excluded), lone (occasionally meeting Dogi though) adventurer into one who sees naked girls (+ gets slapped for it) and gets into romances.

HypersomniacLive: Adding it to their backlog is still equal to "unplayed".
At least it should have a better chance to be played, than if it's not backlogged at all. :P

He just needs to stream it or upload the stuff to Youtube, in addition to having an actual audience :P

While it wouldn't be easy, i guess it would be possible. The big problem is that he must be unique & very original to be able to find his place in such a saturated market, full of annoying (at least to me) folks that think they're funny. (although the truth is that these folks are successful businessmen and i refuse to believe that they are so annoying in their everyday life -- it's just part of the trade being who they are on YT...)

IAmSinistar: I just installed it and launched it, it's pretty much as assumed. I does have single-player, which offers six different scenarios. Some are lifted from the Darwinia campaign, and others are basic skirmishes. It's not a bad selection if you want more Darwinia hijinks, but Darwinia itself remains the first and best choice. :)
Thanks a lot for the information :)
Well, I think I'll go only with Darwinia for now, and will see after playing it a little if I want a bit more ! Thanks again :)

You don't necessarily need to be unique and original to achieve success (for me: success=earning 200-300+€ per month), even at this point. The most important part is to be made for such a thing, e.g. having a fitting voice, good vocabulary etc. For videos, editing skills are important. In general, you need to have a decent microphone as well. With that, you can usually beat your peers...provided, and that's the most important part, you are discovered. Success begets success. So if you only ever get really low viewership/views, then nothing will happen (or it will take too long). So ideally you would use something (like a forum, a fanbase of a game that isn't really covered etc) to help you get viewers. After that, it's also about demand and supply. Covering a niche game won't amount to much. So if you are restricting yourself to one game, make sure the potential audience is large enough (at least Europa Universalis IV or Russian scene of Heroes of M&M 3). If you are a varitey streamer that covers new and/or indie games or roll with the likes of DotA 2, CS: GO, LoL (and are already somewhat popular) then being unique and original (like you said) really comes into play.
Would be great to see Introversion games in GOG Connect. At least old ones...
GOG please think about it :-)

I love Darwinia and have played through it multiple times. This is the first time I've even launched Multiwinia, so I'd say you're in fine shape. :D

blotunga: My vote goes for Fallout 2. Start with that.
I gave up playing Fallout 1 after one hour, so I'm not so keen on starting the second one. I think I have to watch some gameplay to understand the basic rules, retrying the first one, and only after that I'll play Fallout 2.

Taking in acount how much time you guys spend here I thought half of you have already done that.
I have these games in the cart:
- ys 1 & 2 chronicles - 4.5$
- ys (3?) the oath in felghana - 4.5$

How is the series?
Are these the best ones?
Do they have "standalone" stories or are they open ended?

Hmmm... not sure if it's this sort of backlog, and not before this wish gets completed!

Ys 1 &2 aren't that great. They are remakes from really ancient games and so the gameplay is ancient, too. You kill baddies by simply running into them at the right angle or get killed when they run into you. That's not very exciting, IMHO. The newer games are great, though.

The best one IMHO is Origin, but Oath in Felghana and Ark of Napishtim are almost just as good. All three are definitely worth your time.
Prison Architect is great! I STRONGLY recommend it to anyone who likes Simcity or any of those sort of design and management games. I think it's very well designed, real world logic really applies to setting up your prison. You can't go wrong at the sale price.

Unrelated note: The Trails in the Sky games are good if you are into the SNES/PS1/PS2 era RPG scene. I realize not everyone has or is willing to plow 60-100 hours into a story driven game, but if your copies of SNES Final Fantasy 2 and 3 has scuff marks from so many playthroughs over the years, I think you will find a lot of joy in those titles. I am halfway through the 2nd game and I think it's great.
