Up to 80% off hidden gems like Corpse Party, Prison Architect, Raiden Legacy, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and more!

Sometimes the games that stay with you the longest are not the epic, loud, or visually impressive ones, but those who happen to come along when you're looking for something surprising and unconventional. Introversion + DotEmu + XSEED have plenty of that on offer, so if you're in the market for underground classics or out-of-the-box experiences, that's the right place for you. Especially with that handy up to 80% discount on them!

Have you ever attended an after school Corpse Party with your friends? It's not something you would forget: there are vengeful spirits, horrible secrets, and plenty of misplaced guts involved. If you navigate the mysteries and live to tell the tale, you'll be the talk of your school for ages to come! Shame about those you had to leave behind, though...

Every now and then you just need a good first-person RPG fix. Ishar Compilation will test your combat and orientation skills, as you're leading your party of five adventurers through the unfamiliar but rewarding dungeons where evil reigns supreme.

The pop culture has trained us to think of maximum security prisons as hellish backdrops for great breakout stories. Prison Architect lets you run the place and make sure that the conditions will not make your inmates itch for an escape. Not that they could pull it off, of course.

Looking for haunting stories, some old-school RPG fun, or a proper management challenge? It's all here inside the Introversion + DotEmu + XSEED catalogs, going for up to 80% off. Pick between Raiden Legacy, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Little King's Story, Defcon, or one of the other little-known gems.
The promo will last until November 22, 4:59 AM UTC.
What a nice promo, thanks!

It's time to move Ishar series from "played a bit long time ago" to "it's time to beat it... someday" list ;) I suppose I'd also take Golbins, since both packages cost next to nothing.

Could you, please, advise me, if "Ys I & II Chronicles" may be a good choice for someone, who likes wRPG and knows almost nothing (but wants to know) about jRPG?

GabiMoro: Baldur Gate's 2
Icewind Dale 1
Icewind Dale 2
Fallout 2
Even though I played them countless times (and BG, Planescape, Fallout), somehow they never got off of my backlog; they're still waiting there to be played again. Used to play them annually since their release, and although lately there were some great cRPGs that had my attention such as Divinity: Original Sin, UnderRail & the Shadowrun series, eventually I'll get back to them. I don't know why, but with the Infinity Engine games I feel right at home.

One last thing; I didn't see you mention Arcanum in your list -- if by any chance you haven't played it, then by all means add it to your backlog. ;)

Adding it to their backlog is still equal to "unplayed".
Good stuff! I heartily recommend Darwinia to anyone who is looking for a unique kind of RTS. Lovely story, lovely world.
I highly recommend Goblins games, in particular part 2 and 3.

Ys I and II are very different from wRPGs and even from most jRPGs. First, they are remakes of games released in 1989, so their game design is typical for that gaming era. Second, they use action-based combat that requires some reflexes. So it's very hard to compare them with wRPGs. Maybe a review of the series on hardcoregaming101 might be helpful.
So, is Corpse Party worth it? The character designs and graphics style put me off a bit, but the actual game content seems to be quite dark and serious. What kind of game is it anyhow? Does it have Action or RPG elements, or is it purely an Adventure game?

Well of the two, I played only Ys I for now...
It is a very good game. But as igrok already told, it's not the usual J-RPG : it's a "Japanese Action-RPG", and the "action" gameplay is very specific to this game (I never encountered this kind of... choice of gameplay before)(I mean, it's really good, and very original, so if you want a great Japanese game, take it ! ;)).
If you want something more like "typical" J-RPG, I strongly suggest you The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky (but it's a game in two parts, you'll have to buy the second coming to have the end)(I played only the first part for now :P).
There is Grandia II too which seems to me a good first step into typical J-RPG. I haven't played it yet and it's not on sale, but it's a "classic" J-RPG :) (even if it seems that it's a bit too easy) (I'm wanting to play it since it's original release in 2000).

PaterAlf: For many of us the more appropriate question would be: "What's not on your backlog???".
You don't want to know!
I'm a bit confused : Multiwinia... is it single-player friendly ? Or is it only mainly multiplayer oriented ?

For sure, man! For damn sure.
Can't say a thing about Chronicles but judging from my experience with Felghana and thus my several hours spent with it (as someone who simply isn't into these type of games) I say now to ya: go and get it.
No lies, this is a wondrous game, and not pc demanding at all!

Chronicles is nothing like the rest of the games on here.

I've always assumed it was strictly multiplayer, but maybe not. I can fire it up and see. I would guess even if it's single-player it's probably more for skirmishes than campaign-oriented like Darwinia.
