Assimilate these excellent games into your collection: up to 70% off pretty much every single Ubisoft game in our catalog!

Ever wondered how new additions are treated by the games that are already part of your collection? Do they get a cordial handshake and a warm welcome as they all sit down to swap stories and achievements? Or do they get the shifty-eyes as the newest contenders for our precious time? Surely the most acclaimed among them are greeted as revered paragons that are encouraged to share their insights with the rest. Ubisoft's extensive catalog is choke-full of the latter, so if you are looking for a significant upgrade to your collection go ahead and Commence Ubification!

Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete still stands proud as one of the most celebrated and addictive turn-based strategies to ever grace our screens with uniquely-skilled fantasy units.

The persisting charm of this action/adventure is Beyond Good & Evil™ but not beyond belief. It's due to its endearing visuals, the intriguing story, the memorable characters, and its diverse gameplay elements.

The jointless but never joyless puncher of evil returns in Rayman Origins, the modern pinnacle of platforming excellence and spectacular tomfoolery that stole everybody's heart.

Commence Ubification and proudly introduce these excellent games to your collection. Don't worry about internal conflicts, after all everybody wants to be in the company of Settlers® 3, Far Cry® 2, Assassin's Creed®, Might & Magic® 6, and all those other classics going for up to 70% off. The promo will last until April 12, 4:59 AM UTC.

eiii: Any idea how good Warlords Battlecry (1) runs on Linux?
There is a problem with the music not playing. As for the other mentioned games, Beyond Good & Evil doesn't work well on old intel graphic cards. HoMM 1-2 run perfectly because they are DOS games.

I think I remember a game running quite well, but some bugs linked to the campaign (maybe with cutscenes?)… But my last test was quite a long time ago!

Hey, what about I give it a try today and come back to you with a fresh experience? ;-)

A question not concerning linux (sorry :P) : how good is Warlords Battlecry 1 compared to the two others ?

I think I didn’t play the first since the first time I tried WBC2, since this one seems to improve in every aspect of the game. But I kind of remember a more entertaining campaing, with a bigger focus on narrative.
Anyway, I didn’t like the third at all ;-P

No music, like igrok pointed out, no intro movie (you get only the sound), poor performances in-game…
I ran my test on a clean WINE prefix, with no "trick" added, and on WINE 1.8.1. On the same configuration WBC2 runs flawlessly!

Okay :)
Thanks for help !
Please release Myst 3 and 4. I'm really not sure what the problem is... GOG has the rest of the Myst series, all the Cyan games (the series owner), all the other Presto games (the developer of Myst 3) and several Ubi games (the publisher of Myst 3 and developer/publisher of Myst 4). And they both work fine on modern Windows.

Oh, by the way, another info that might interest you: I’m working on translation archives allowing to turn your GOG versions of WBC 1 & 2 into French ;-)

It's irrelevant that both companies are here. The problem is that they would need to cooperate again for the rerelease of both games and if one of the two parties (like, say, Ubisoft) isn't interested in doing so, the games can't be rereleased.

Huuum, very interesting :)
I already own WBC2 (&3), do you advice me to buy the first one ?

Chances are that you will only play it for the campaign…
But a full narrative campaign for less than 2€ is a good deal in my book ;-)
Please wait a little bit more...
It takes too long to verificate my payment attempt, using paysafecard here and this is the first time i got this message for my order status.

Edit: It got through took like 20 minutes i think.

Thanks, both of you!

Reading that and about the not so good Linux compatibility WBC1 is probably off of my list.

Any special reason why?

I haven't even played WBC3 yet, but I hope to get home early enough today to try it out before I decide about WBC2. But your comment sounds as if WBC3 is not much of a suitable test for WBC2.

Honestly, I remember that I didn’t liked it when I tried it, but I can’t even remember *why* ;-)

Good enough. I'll see if I like it. Time to do something myself. :)
