Up to 70% off Gothic, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Leisure Suit Larry, Carmageddon, The Chronicles of Riddick and more…

How was your summer vacation? Did you take a vacation? Our summer wasn't very vacationy, but it sure was cool. We had an amazing Summer Sale, we unleashed batches of fun upon you including Bethesda, The Forgotten Realms, Telltale, and Warhammer. We rolled out our Windows 10 support, and many of us are still playing through the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Yeah, it's a big game.
But now, summer vacation is winding down, and while many of you are waiting for the first school-bells to ring, or unable to tell the difference - we're going Back to Old-School for a weekend of deals up to 70% off!

What's more summery than a long day at a theme park? The beach, maybe. But other than the beach, few things are more summery than a long day at a theme park. Rollercoaster Tycoon is the best way to design your very own summer adventure with wild rides and waterparks, your own wonderland (just don't forget to make money!) of joy. Simply put, even after all these years the Rollercoaster Tycoon games remain some of the best Tycoon series ever released, and by far the most beloved.

Already missing your summer romance? Ditch the shorts and swim trunks, a leisure suit is the only way to dress for new conquests. Leisure Suit Larry's greatest hits and misses are a hilarious series of misadventures featuring the most loving guy in town.

Then, there is the original Gothic trilogy. There's an eternal argument as to which one is the best (the fellow typing this can't get enough of Gothic 3), but great open worlds and relatively few rules make these games some of the most quintessential old-school RPGs. Go anywhere anytime you want, and do your best not to accidentally kill a quest giver. With just a few mods and community fixes, this trio can stand proudly among the best role-playing games ever made.

This weekend, we're going Back to Old-School with 30+ classic games including the Gothic series, Carmageddon, Chronicles of Riddick, and more by Atari and Codemasters - all up to 70% off. The promo will last until Tuesday, September 1, 3:59 AM GMT.
Nice promo, guess I will get Act of War: Gold Edition because is the only interesting title of this list I don't have yet

Gnostic: You can't really entice people to buy that without giving information about what's good about the game.
I know. :P
Gladly, nothing "urgent" in the promo. Wallet is empty because of the recent releases...
Famous ol' GOG pout pourri for the weekend... and I'm all outta dough.
Maybe it's for the best! :P

Guess I'm not the only one in here who sends links to GOG promos to friends and then *suddenly* "merchandises" some certain games, by sayin' "dude you gotta check this game. I don't own it, but it's currently 80% off, so..." and hoping to be, uh, gifted :P

AMIRITE?! :P

Added Alone in the Dark-trilogy and Independence War 2 to cart. IW2 seems to be the fan favorite, but is the first one worth it as well? And can I use a Xbone-controller in these games?

Huh? No. I have the Gothic titles on my "buy some day" wishlist - but only for convenience since I have physical copies of them. I just was afraid the weekend promo would contain something spectacular (like, say, PoE 70% off...) and I would be too broke to buy it. So I'm happy that it isn't so.
Still a nice collection for people who don't yet have certain titles (like Gothic, Blood, LSL series...)

I was just kiddin' :)
But hey toxiTom, nice strategy. I mean, really. I'm trying to do the same but, so far, no luck.

Already got it. Sadly I rarely come around to mount my huge FF racing wheel to my desk... And owning this monstrous things prevents me from playing racing games with a gamepad...

Here's a way of handling IWAR2 with an x360 controller.
It's the best one for overall pc gaming these days, I think. Regarding the Xbone controller, I really don't know but it should behave the same... right? :)

Yes, it works exactly the same as a 360-controller in all games. Thank you for the link :)

So I should not start to argue about this? ;-)
Hmmm... ok, as long as you don't include the AddOn in your remark :P
Don't buy Carmageddon unless you insist on losing all your nighttime hours to it, thus losing sleep. I uninstalled it over and over until I finally built up the willpower to leave it uninstalled.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good game in all seriousness, but I can't get it out and play it again.... really.... I just can't.

I just can't bring myself to buy Independence War 2 UNTIL it actually says it's compatible with Win7. I know it probably works on Win7, but still do something about this gog!
