A classic omni-cure with prices miniature! 66% off Pharaoh, Arcanum, Quest for Glory 1-5, Phantasmagoria, and more!

They say time heals all ills. And if there's one sure cure for any known ailment, it's got to be time spent gaming. Whether you got the blues (pet hamster expired), the reds (a coworker ate your tuna sandwich) or the greens (coworker instagrammed himself in the act), spend some time with these classic beauties and everything will go away. Especially time. So join us in Activision Therapy with 66% off the price of admission, and emerge a new person!

Bah, they don't build cities like they used to anymore. We definitely got a thing or two to learn from the ancient Pharaohs, aside from pulling off that wicked eye-liner look. And that's how to manage majestic settlements, erect timeless monuments, and maintain a healthy economy based on trading goods.

So you want to be a hero? Perhaps a thief or a mage? The adventure/RPG series that defined and refined the formula of alternative gameplay paths based on your character's skills, puts you on a Quest for Glory across fairytale lands, where whimsical adventures and magical creatures await.

A cursed love story, spanning centuries of death, despair, and brutal exsanguinations. A party-based action/RPG with intense combat and immersive character development. The bloody quest of a fledgling vampire seeking justifiable Redemption. A true cult classic.

This should be all the prescription you need to begin your Activision Therapy. There are over 30 capsules of great fun inside this Weekend Promo, including Call to Power 2, the Zork series, Spycraft: The Great Game, the King's Quest saga, and many more! Just remember to sit down with them at least three times a day after each meal. The promo will last until March 8, 4:59 AM GMT.
Didn't we have these games on sale recently? Meh for me.
Hm, after all the excitement and impatience (having to wait till Friday when we got the last week promo on Wednesday) and after buying bunch of stuff last week, nothing wishlisted here. Oh well, I guess thats good for my wallet.

Probably only gonna get Arcanum and considering both Phantasmagorias that I didnt get to play back in the days.

Here's hoping for a Bioware promo next time!
I just completed my Activision collection on GOG with last six missing games. We need more games from them like Soldier of Fortune trilogy and Call of Duty classics.
Oh come on, everyone and their grandmother already bought these games ages ago. There are starving kids in Africa who own Arcanum.

I love RPGs, so I just got Vampire the Masquerade Redemption and the Krondor series. I already have Arcanum. Good prices and games, but I wish there were games from my wish-list on sale this weekend. Also I'm happy to have bought Elven Legacy Collection, too. Thanks GOG! \(^▽^)/

vicklemos: And Pharaoh? Why not both? :p

tburger: Already own it :-P
:P
Have you played Zeus considerably? How's it compared to Pharaoh?
I mean, Pharaoh was a hit in here but I didn't get a chance to play it decently. Zeus and Caesar, on the other hand...

I wish the therapy would include Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom...

You mean I'm worse off than those starving kids in Africa cos I don't have Arcanum? Wow, my life isn't worth living anymore :(

Seriously though, others have said a lot of these sales are the same old and I'm just another guy that agrees with that statement. EA, Ubisoft, Activision etc, please bring more of your older games here, thank you!!! Seriously, my backlog is dwindling quickly.

BTW, anyone know when the next big sale might be?
Scratch what I wrote about considering Phantasmagorias, just read a review of Phantasmagoria 2 saying GOG released the 256 colors DOS version instead of the 16 bit Windows version. Kinda defeats the purpose for a movie-like game.

So just Arcanum for me then. Judging by the comments here I might be the only one who doesn't have it :-)

Also I never played any of that city builder stuff, and both Pharaoh and Zeus look nice to me. Which one should I get to try the genre?

Fair enough ;)

Grargar: Yet another Activision promo with no new releases in between. I guess the 4-year hiatus anniversary isn't so far-fetched anymore.
I'm glad to see I'm not the same one who's starting to get feelings of Deja Vu with this promo. Now I know I'm not crazy

I warn you that though Phantasmagoria 2 is a pleasure of Cronenbergesque horror (despite its awful ending and some clunky pacing), Phantasmagoria 1 is really really problematic. Not only in design, but in the story itself, which is surprisingly misogynistic. The ending has quite a fun feast of gore, though, but for these kind of games with psychological horror and shock value, Harvester, Dark Seed 2 and Phantasmagoria 2 are way way above.

True what you say about Phantasmagoria 2. It looked great in 64k colours, and it is not that difficult to play it like that in modern OS. I guess there is just some issues with the ownership of that port.

Just launched on GOG this week.
Seems like it's pretty similiar to those games.
(Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

Dear Activision,

2016 marks the 4yrs anniversary since you last released a title here.
For the past 4yrs all you've done is run these 67% off sales periodically, and collect the income they generate.

Looks to me that you're on auto-pilot when it comes to GOG and us, so can't help but wonder who's in need of therapy.
You might want to give it a thought, pretty sure it won't kill you.

Regards,
One of many GOGgers that would enjoy seeing a new Actiivision release here
