Which games are keeping you company this weekend?

It's a bit unfair to other games that right now No Man's Sky is dominating all the online and watercooler discussions, isn't it? But there's so much stuff to talk about in there! While we're on the subject, though, what's your favorite space-themed game ever? Is it No Man's Sky? A roguelike? Perhaps a 4X strategy. Or a simulator. Whatever it is, let's talk about it!

How does your gaming weekend look, by the way? Go on, share your Weekend Playlist with us. It can include single-player games, multiplayer games, console exclusives, anything - we are not judging. In fact, we are sharing too!

Looking for some additional inspiration? The GOG.com releases of the week might help:

- You can design and ride your own Bounty Train through the unforgiving Old West.
- You can expand your Ashes of the Singularity tactics in the new maps included in the Oblivion DLC.
- You can go back to your RTS roots and let the four alien races duke it out in War Wind and War Wind II.
- You can show the Olympian gods who's boss by stomping on their arrogant heads with your angry Okhlos.
- You can venture into the heavy-metal lands of legend and shred some demons in the re-launched Slain: Back From Hell.

So, GOGasaurs, what are you playing this weekend?

While I have a big enough todo and wishlist games lists to fill my hands and time, truth be told I will be sticking to only purchasing, reviewing, and be informed because the next months are absolutely and passionately devoted to Geralt and his adventures.
My favorite space themed game is SPace Empires IV.

I'll be playing Avadon: The black fortress and This is the Police this weekend. Good games those two even though they are somewhat underrated.
Just finished the main quest line of Fallout 3 for the first time, but I have not touched any DLC quests yet, so my adventure in the wasteland is not over!

Also I'm playing Avernum 4 for the 3rd trying. I quit twice because of boring, this time I will finish the game.

As for favorite space game, I choice X3 series. I like this sandbox traveling/fighting/trading game.

Played very few space games, but clear favorite out of those would be Homeworld 2. Rare that I actually did reasonably well in an RTS, so it wasn't just frustration.
That is, unless somebody'd also count the KotORs as space games since they take place in a space-y setting.

As for playing this weekend, it's something that I am playing something after over three months of not even loading up any game. Bit hard to call it playing though, as I got back to Hordes of the Underdark (initially started at least in 2010, if not even earlier, last poking around from that part in Jan 2011, then attempted to pick back up in April, dropped again at start of May), got to the Mimic's nest and found that those rats can be killed for a bit of exp and constantly respawn, netting some 5k exp / hour if you're very patient. And I am that, so... Just hit level 28 before entering that place, am 30 now, plan for 31 by the end of the week, then go for an even 500k exp (32 being at 496k, so might as well) till I guess I'll get going further.
I'd dread any grinding in a game that'd require it, but here when it feels like an exploit (well, it is an exploit) and it's when I'm not actually into the game, but just re-re-starting to poke at it, works...
Sort of thing that makes me take so much longer than any number of hours anyone else would consider in any way reasonable to finish a game :))
A bit hard for me now, since I only have my low-spec laptop at hand. I tried some low-spec games, but no success, they were all too slow to be enjoyable, or did not even start at all :(
Plus I can't download games here, so I can only play what I have at hand, which is not much, since most of the games I loaded up here ended up not working >_>
I do have some simple point and click games and hidden object games that this laptop can handle, so I will just chose from those.

Favorite space-game? Well, I say Mass Effect, which is.... probably the only space-game I've ever played, or at least no other space game comes to my mind now. I'm not really a sci-fi fan =/
Wait, there's a version of No Man's Sky that works with Phenom II processors? Bye bye weekend... :)
Distant Worlds: Universe.... Already does what Stellaris is doing, just better. People just don't like it because of 'dem not 3D graphics' nonsense.

Runner up would be X3: Albion Prelude. Only because I haven't spent hundreds of hours on it.

Honourable mention goes to Evochron Legacy/Mercenary. Best flight simulator in space by far, and you can even fly down to planets. I'm not sure what's been added since I last played it, but the 'realism' in that game beats anything.

So, a 4X strategy... A 4X, and a simulator with some 4X element.
I put NMS on hold until I get a better graphics card. I was in the mood for some lite jRPG-fare, so I decided to go with Pier Solar. I'll be playing that between bouts of binge watching Babylon 5 this weekend.
As for my favorite space game, I'd have to say Escape Velocity: Nova just narrowly takes the cake.

This weekend will see me - yet again - spending more time than I intend to playing Overwatch. I also will be playing Shadows of Mordor. I picked it up cheaply in a sale recently expecting it to be an OK game but I am really really enjoying it. Well worth picking up if its on sale.
Favourite space game? Another vote for Alpha Centurai from me. One of my all time favourite games and one I find incredibly relaxing to play. Also a fan of the Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic Games. I do own Elite::Dangerous but havent started that yet.

I want to start DA Inquisition, but I'm a hopeless completionist and feel that I have to play Dragon Age 2 first regardless of what everyone says about it. And...so far it's not as bad as I was expecting, though I truly hate how enemies just pop out of thin air for every encounter. It's just different to Origins, much more of a fast paced ARPG.

I've also been trying out WWE2K16. What do I know about WWE? SFA that's what...well I know that everyone says it's fake. It's an Xbox GwG game this month though and I love giving different things a try and it's actually fun...especially playing the Divas and pretending to smack down other chicks. I have to play on easy though as I simply cannot time the reversals on normal difficulty. It's also more "simulation" than I was expecting...how do you sim something that is mostly just acting anyway? Well it pulls it off pretty well. I'm setting it aside for now and will play a Career Mode after I finish DA2.

Best space game? Well, I know it's really uncool around here to like big AAA games, but I'm still going to say the Mass Effect games anyway. For strategy space, then I have great memories of Master of Orion 2 in the 90's as well.

Well, I beat Rayman 2. Not nearly as much of a pain in the ass as Rayman 1 to get 100% on. Thinking of doing something in the 4X or RTS genres to kill time until the next big classic release.
This weekend Sengoku and Eye of the Beholder II on my laptop, Mass Effect 3 and maybe some Final Fantasy IX on my PS3. Probably a little Homefront Revolution on my PS4 and Earthbound on my N3DS

Favorite space game is tough since space is my favorite game setting. Tere are so many great ones but I'm going to have to go with tar Trek Bridge Commander. I like starfighter sims but I've always preferred the idea of space capital ship command sims and Bridge Commander is the best I have played.
My best space themed game are definitely, Homeworld and Homeworld: Cataclysm.

SCPM: I'll be playing that between bouts of binge watching Babylon 5 this weekend.
First time or rewatching (possibly due to one more cast member going beyond the rim recently)?
I'll continue my Xenonauts campaign.
