I just wanted to let GOG know that the changes they made to the website (post summer sale) are fantastic! You guys managed to make it both visually appealing, as well as functional for navigation. I understand that not everyone is happy when GOG makes changes to the website, but at least they're trying to listen to customer feedback. What does everyone else think of the changes?

* The only change I would suggest is a 50% transparency on the inactive images on the main display (see screenshot).

Looks and works good for me, certainly better than the one used before the sale. Only change I'd do is the color scheme, as I prefer darker backgrounds. Maybe dark purple because Galaxy.

That actually sounds like a great idea! Personally, the design that GOG's website currently has doesn't really bother me that much, it's just that almost every website that I've encountered so far would've at least adopted that 50% transparency design for things located at its periphery in one way or another, making me a little used to seeing it I guess. Again, the current design is fine to me in a sense that it doesn't vex me too much, but it would definitely be appreciated if GOG were to add some little touches such as that 50% transparency idea you just put forward in your post.

Hm, one change seems to be, that the purple dots, which tell you that you have new messages etc., now only show up at the main page, not in the forums anymore. See attached pics.

I liked these changes as well. It's nice to see what is rotating in/out from the main highlighted item like that. They could have a gradient alpha mask fading it out on the sides perhaps but that's not totally necessary IMHO.
I agree. Most of the changes are minor, but they managed to fix quite a few issues from the last update.
Today is living proof that the GOG team actually does listen to user feedback. =)

Meh, it's not bad, but I still think it needs more pictures of Alex Pietrangelo hoisting The Stanley Cup.
I can't stand the new flashing/moving images that now appear all over the store's game pages. That makes the pages annoying to look at. It's not an improvement. It's the opposite of an improvement.

The only other thing that bothers me is the orphan left in the welcome headline (see screenshot).

Naturally this isn't a bid deal ... it just upsets my O.C.D. tendencies.
