Man, if only kickstarter had a paypal option. I've been excited for this since i first read about it!
I came in here thinking it was the place to make a St. Crispin's Day Speech joke. Is this the right place?
15 min alpha game play video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIablvw_HV0
Linux and OS X support was announced!

Kinda reminds me of Downunder in A Boy and His Dog.
We Happy Few: E3's creepiest game?
Good to see some DRM-free game with Linux support on E3. The rest is dominated by DRMed Windows / consoles legacy publishers boring stuff.
amrit9037 thought it's about cheesy movies.
Nothing to see here.

amok: Compulsion Games have just announced that the new game they are working on is called "We Happy Few". There is really not much info about the game yet, but what is there seems very intriguing.

Compulsion Games have previously made "Contrast", which I adore (especially the sound design), albeit it being a bit of a flawed gem.

You can see the teaser trailer here:

And the official website is found here:

I will be following this
I just heard of this game for the first time, and it looks intriguing as heck! I am especially intrigued by the way people in the game's world see the same exact world completely differently, depending on whether or not they are on the drugs. It seems like it's exploring themes of subjective perception of reality, which the first four Silent Hill games did so masterfully. Not that this looks like a Silent Hill style of game, but it's seemingly exploring some of the same themes.

Awesome, this game was probably the best thing shown at the MS conference. Glad to see a gog confirmation.
One of my most anticipated games from E3 as well. It immediately gave me BioShock flashback- mainly the visual style. I'm going to give it a try as soon as it hits Xbox Preview program for sure.
I've become so jaded I've avoided this thread for a couple days based on the title. Who knew it was for a damn game.

Added to wishlist but I won't buy early access.

They promised DRM-free release during their Kickstarter (and plans for GOG one). What's new now is official confirmation of coming to GOG and also alpha release here which they didn't plan before.

I'm not watching MS conferences, so good to know that We Happy Few got more exposure :) E3 is usually too boring, dominated by DRMed games / legacy publishers which I don't care about, so if Compulsion got coverage there, it's good for a change!

Authors list several inspirations, such as 1984, A Clockwork Orange, Brazil and other dystopian classics. So Bioshock falls into that, but it goes beyond just the visual style.

Why wouldn't you get it DRM-free here instead?
