I marked them as well. This is really starting to get out of hand.

toxicTom: Marked all left - opened every link in new tab (CTRL-LMB) - a lot faster that way. On the last third I got GOGbear 404 - so GOG's already on it :-)
GOG isn't on it, we are. As far as I know, the anti-spambot system removes threads with more than a set level of spam flags, probably three.

Edit: In other words, we're the ones cleaning up the forum, not GOG. They're probably not doing anything right now.

Here we go again: Neverwinter Nights forum.

Baldur's Gate and Fallout as well.
It might be nice if GOG had some sort of system in place where if a user creates, say, 5 threads reported as spam within 24 hours, they get temporarily banned ...

Problem is there are people in here who don't like each other and they'd be reporting stuff as spam just to get the other person chucked out.
We need a script to mass-mark as spam.
We can't and shouldn't fight machines manually -_-

True, but would they really be doing it three at a time? Perhaps increasing the number of people who have to report a thread as spam might work in combination with that, then. At any rate, the current situation isn't really workable either.
I'm taking a break. Cleaned 5 forums (TW2, M&M, NWN, BG and FO).

I've thought about it. There could be a rep-tempban system. For example, if a user would get reported x times by five 100+ rep users, he would get tempbanned (e.g., for 6 hours).
We seem to clear it out fairly quick when we all work together. But I agree, a mass-mark as spam script might be useful and possible, maybe as an extension of Barefoot Essentials.

Yeah, I was looking at the site code earlier to see if something could be cobbled together easily, but it can't, not by me anyway.
I think a much simpler "if your rep is below 10 then you can create at most 1 new thread every 10 minutes" would suffice.

Yeah, I was thinking Barefoot Essentials might be our best bet. I really should get around to installing it. I've never actually tried it.

Yeah, that sounds like a good measure.
Maybe this would be the one useful thing to apply rep. Let's say min people reporting as spam >= 3 and average rep of people reporting as spam > 500 = account locked. Or a lot more complicated - min people 3, and among the people reporting min 3 with 500+ rep.
There's a single one in the Blood forum.
