I wonder if the spammer was Gabe Newell.

Maybe he just decided to spam our forum a bit, while taking a break from his Half-Life 3 coding.

Tarnicus: Most likely there was no purchase. The user account is brand new and this is an alt account of someone having a bit of fun. They are running a script to do this. I don't understand why people are wasting their time reporting all the threads as spam, this is GOG's job. All the time people are spending reporting every single thread can be wasted in an instant. If I was out for "LULZ" and wished to aggravate this community, I would wait until every post has been deleted, switch my IP (which won't be the real one showing for anyone with any form of IT knowledge), create a new account, and then spam bomb again. The person doing this is TRYING to waste people's time and get a laugh by aggravating others, as well as to get a reaction.

More interesting "hacking" news (it was DoS spam, not hacking) Kim DotCom saves console users on Christmas! :)
In other words, don't mess with Tarnicus.

Kim is only a short flight away in New Zealand. I wouldn't mind heading to his mansion for a party but I think I lack the appropriate "assets" to get an invite. "Mendax" is still my favourite er "IT guy" who was coincidentally friends with my old friend Julian. Same name too :) I still remember the day I turned up to school hearing tales about NASA being hacked and the shit about to hit the fan, before it made the news. My friend Julian(not Mendax, I've only met his old girlfriend in Melbourne, not the hero/villain himself) was quite worried at the time due to his activities and association with him at the time. I wish I still had his notes on blue boxing before the days of the internet.
