Can't recall the exact place, but I will assume it was Delhi again. The spammer was from India.

All Spammers I have seen so far are either from China, India, or Pakistan (excluding established users here)

Why is stereotypical to say that these 3 countries are full of Spammer groups?
Is ten in a row some kind of grisly record?

You know what I really don't get about people doing that? Who would ever come to the GoG Movie Wishlist section saying "Gee, I sure do hope that I can find some (dubious) deals on jewelery and/or watches around here!"?

Anyway, good job on finding those. I'll help with reporting them.

Sarasa: Ok, this is really becoming ridiculous... -_-;

Could you please GOG STAFF find a way to protect the Wishlist from the Spambot ?
Don't know... perhaps a minimum of 10 (clean) posts before being able to post a message there, but let's those with 0 still vote ? O_o

New/Still Alive Spambot

rodrolliv: I got tired of reporting spammers in the wishlists, GOG clearly doesn't care.
I really hope GOG's staff does something about this, the Wishlist looks horrible with all the spam infesting it.

Just take a look at these entries in the wishlist:
(3 spam posts) http://www.gog.com/wishlist/movies/no_region_locked_movies ()
(12 spam posts) http://www.gog.com/wishlist/movies/nay_to_more_big_movies_which_would_introduce_region_locks
(This thread is spam itself!) http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/kobe_8_graffiti_for_sale_my_son_loves_the_shoes

It's like going to the park only to find it covered in garbage with graffiti drawn everywhere. T_T

There must be some way to preventing a spam bot from posting without inconveniencing legitimate GOG users.

Please GOG, Do something! T_T
Okay, that answers my question: ten spam comments in a row is not a Wishlist record. Good grief. Fitting that it has 'graffiti' in the title, though.

I think they're trying to game their Google rankings; though I'm not sure how effective those tactics really are these days.

I don't actually see any comments on that page. Maybe GOG is in the process of answering our prayers...?

Edit: they've been cleaned from http://www.gog.com/wishlist/movies/nay_to_more_big_movies_which_would_introduce_region_locks too. :-)

They're pretty effective... if you want to kick your site out of the search results ;) The times where you could spam backlinks are long forgotten.
...and now we have "Viperica" putting out Disney pirate spam! Lovely... O____O
