Did not say that they're involved. I mentioned that Bethesda and indie devs don't have trouble with implementing Galaxy support in their games.
inXile has never bothered to on any of theirs.

Windows 7 is no longer supported by microsoft so you can expect pretty much any games released now to say windows 8 is a minimum requirement. Companies can't guarantee support for something when the underlying dependencies are no longer supported by their original vendors.

This looks too cartoony IMO, like it is one of those smartphone games for kids. I would rather play the original.

I'm going to wait until the control scheme is fixed and major bugs have been ironed out.
Wasteland deserves better testing.

I'd rather prefer an off-world setting. Something akin to Bradberry's "The Martian Chronicles".

Performance wise I expect something terrible. Is this Unity? Unity or not, my laptop does not fit the requirements so I will wait to better times.

Bard tale trilogy is excelent and I can run it at a horrible framerate but I am happy, I play it and it is amazing. If the game follows the same philosophy The Bard tale trilogy remake did, I can say it will be a great remake/refit.

Graphically I dont like it much (wasteland remake). And as I say zero confidence in the engine. Please correct me if I am wrong, Unity?

Will inXile ever consider implementing achievements in their games on GOG like they do on Steam?

Yeah, this sucks. It has achievements for steam, but as always none for GOG.

I have played Atom. I agree it is pretty good. I need to check it out again since the recent Dead City Content update. :)

Have you looked into Encased? It has a Fallout vibe to it as well. Though it is still in early access

I love Atom. I was born in USSR. And playing that game in russian and the whole fallout vibe to it and being in USSR, was like a dream come true.

But once I got to the Dead City, I lost interest. Not sure why, maybe the large amount of mob and slow combat. But that was long time ago, and they updated the game many times since, so I'll get back to it soon enough.

Yeah, I keep my eye on Encased. It looks really good. I have high hopes.

Also there's another game sort of like Fallout. Well, at least the combat part. Check it out, it's a wonderful game, called: Stellar Tactics. It's still in development, but it runs really well, without much bugs or problems. No story there yet tho, so it is a sandbox only atm.

Off world settings are great in games. You should check out Lifeless Planet, InSomnia: The Ark, HEVN, EYE :Divine Cybermancy to name a few. Unfortunately, non of them are isometric CRPG's but they have all deliver that alien landscape feeling very well.

Oh, there is also Dusker, The Eternal castle, Solus Project, The Turing Test, The Swapper, and The Aquatic Adventure of the last Human.

Soma also really feels like an alien landscape even though it is set on earth. I highly recommend that one as well as the Solus Project.

There is the recently released Beautiful Desolation, which, like Soma, is on Earth but feels very alien. The same developers did Stasis which is off world and worth checking out as well. It is good...

As for Wasteland, well the premise of the game has always been post apocalyptic America and the aftermath. Much like the Fallout games. Though to me the Fallout games always felt stranger. Particularly the originals. But I love Wasteland 2 and really like the world Inxile built in Torment Tides of Numenera. Which reminds me Planescape Torment was a great game with a very alien world.

Martian chronicles would be a interesting game if done right. I would like to see a CRPG based on Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Frederick Pohl's Gateway would make a good CRPG as well. I really enjoyed those books. Though it was a video game in 92 and was pretty decent. It was more a text adventure type game

I will check out Stellar Tactics. Since it is in development/ early access still I probably would not play it until some sort of story was there or it was complete. But sandbox games can be fun.

Atom really did have a good far Eastern European/ Soviet vibe to it that I really liked. Some of the writing was really good but some of minor NPC writing was repetitious. Asking the same 7 questions over and over again. I understand why because of the budget of the game. The atmosphere and major NPC/plot writing was excellent though.

I wonder....did the writing present it self better in Russian? Maybe something was lost in the English translation!

I will check the game out again at some point. I really liked what they were doing with the game. It was not perfect but definitely nice to see Soviet Fallout. I never quite understood why Russians seem to reference fungus a fair amount in their stories. I think I have encountered it a few times in other Russian media.
