Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment comes to GOG.com.

We're on a roll! We're happy to announce that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment joins the GOG.com catalog to make the world of DRM-free gaming that much better today. We're starting off with six widely requested titles:

Let's start big:
Mortal Kombat 1+2+3 just got the GOG.com treatment. If you were having a hard time getting these notorious bits of gaming history to run on your computer, boy do we have a surprise for you!

We're also launching these five heavily requested titles with big, weeklong discounts:

LEGO Batman: The Videogame -50%
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1 - 4 -60%
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5 - 7 -60%
F.E.A.R. Platinum -50%
Bastion -60%

It's yet another great start to yet another great publisher debut on GOG.com, let's get our fill!
Was out fixing some network when I saw all this, couldn't wait till I get home :D

Great job GOG on getting WB here, hopefully we'll see some more high profile games like the Batman games. Also as already pointed out I'd love to see the Linux version of Bastion and a GOG Linux version of the MK trilogy.
This is a very splendid news! Looking forward to Condemned: Criminal Origins

This is phenomenal news! Welcome to GOG, WB!
Pardon my language, but holy fuck and well done, GOG! Seeing the front page and seeing the threads on Neogaf was quite beyond amazing.
Ah geez. I just saw that Transistor wasn't published via WB, but was a Supergiant solo project. That'll stay Steam exclusive.

So fuck indies and all hail omnipotent publishers, I guess... :(

But whatevs for the moment: Welcome, WB! ;)

Their loss... I refuse to buy games on steam anymore.

Honestly i don't care about achievements or collectable cards or other steam features. Truth be told i've played Transistor (cracked version) and it was just fine without any of those features, just having a feature check if the steam API is used or not doesn't change a huge amount, or require a separate executable.

Rather lazy indies who can't write code which isn't dependent on Steamworks lock-in.

Yeah, that excuse is extremely lame. They could easily write Steam stub for all those Steamworks APIs they call which would return nothing.

They even told us it would be one of these "DRM-free Steam Games" (before somebody´s asking: Yes, that´s possible, but of course ways inferior than GOG!), so IT DOES EVEN ALREADY WORK THIS WAY!!!
(otherwise the uninstallation of steam would result into making it unpossible to play-> DRM!)
As a result I can just say one thing: They´ve got no point!

Anyways, B2T:
I saw these releases this afternoon and suddenly turned into one of my best afternoons this year! (well, it already was a quite happy one, but this news made it great!)
Now I do hope for Arkham-Series to appear on here!
Well, excuse me for a second i need a new pair of underwear.
Good job GoG!

Hey GOG, did surprised me positively (again). Very good job. Congratulations.

Lego Harry Potter it wil be for me. (Bastion I hate it.)
Finally I can replace my stack of F.E.A.R installation CDs with something easier to deal with.

Thanks GOG, keep them coming.
Well, I'm a bit sad that I bought all those games on Steam, now (because I had given up on them ever coming to GOG), but I'm also happy that a new publisher has come to GOG. )

Wishlisting all those games until I can afford to buy them.

jamyskis: Great news, although I'll remain sceptical for the time being about where this is going, as most other AAA partnerships have turned out to be a bit of a dead-end. Today we're still waiting for Assassin's Creed 2/3/4/Brotherhood/Revelations, the remaining Splinter Cell games, the Mass Effect trilogy, the Dragon Age trilogy and so on.

Every new AAA publisher that GOG has bagged has as yet failed to produce a single game that has not been DRM-free before. Ubisoft to this day haven't produced a single game that was UPlay-only, EA haven't produced a single game that has been Origin-only, and Disney hasn't produced a single game that has been Steam-only. All of the games that are released on GOG are ones that can be bought used on disc. Their release here is not a commitment to DRM-free - it's a method of discouraging DRM opponents from buying used copies, which I really have no opinion on, but I rather have a DRM-free copy of a game where a used disc copy isn't an option in the first place.

I note also that all of the WBIE titles here have likewise been available DRM-free in the past, and like the other publishers, I suspect that many of these are only here because gamers otherwise have the option of keeping away from the DRM versions by buying used copies of the originals on disc. Also, it's rather odd that GOG should get the inferior DOS versions of the MK trilogy when Steam has the superior Arcade Kollektion (multiplayer be damned - like most MP games, online is long dead anyway).

I'll be impressed when we see FEAR 2 & 3, the Arkham trilogy (although Asylum was technically DRM-free, because it used the offline version of GFWL's protection), MK9 & X, Shadow of Mordor, Gauntlet and Injustice.
Yeah, but there´s nothing else to do. For while, I´ll just enjoy the current DRM-free ones here.
