Oh and DLC announced for the game aswell, INB4, "THEY CUT CONTENT FROM THE GAME BEFORE IT RELEASES AND SELL IT AS DLC THE GREEDY BASTARDS I BOYCOTT THE CREATIVE ASSEMBLY!!!"

There I said for all those people that feels that way, can we now discuss about this game positively because seriously this game looks hype and I hope it will not end up as broken as Rome 2 and Attila.

That could be interesting. I have Rome 2 installed but I haven't tried it yet. I like the Irn Bru referrence.
I'm preordering. It looks like the best total war ever (Although if is a Rome 2 scale disaster at launch I'm not going to preorder another TW and this is the first one which I am preordering.). I said to myself when I saw the first trailer and the first gameplay footage that if the preorder DLC is good, I would preorder (I knew there would be some since they did it with Rome 2 and Attila.). That meant a race, preferably one of the chaos races. The Preorder DLC is the Warriors and that is good enough for me (The Demons, Bretonnia or Skaven would also have been good enough.). I've never played Tabletop but I know what the factions are because I read a little bit of the lore.

Wasn't there a recently released or announced game that people were saying was basically Warhammer Total War?
Maybe I'm just trippin' yo...

Do you want to bet ?
Looks ok, I assume though its steam only like the other recent total war games, so not interested.
I thought Rome 2 was a massive step backwards upon release, its political system half-finished and poorly explained, abundant technical issues, and features which had been a staple of the series since the first Shogun noticeably absent. What really got under my skin though was that this was one of those rare times I was tricked by pre-release materials. Its development was during a period when studios laughed in the face of false advertising, with this possibly being one of the most egregious examples since Aliens: Colonial Marines. So how can they possibly come back from that?

‘We’re making Warhammer: Total War.’

Well played, Creative Assembly. Well played.

Seriously though, I'm excited. Having learned my lesson last time I'm planning to avoid preorders and wait for a general reaction to the final product. Chaos, High Elves, hell they can hold back Skaven for preoder customers and I still wouldn't put my money down early.

But there are no Total War games on GOG at all?

GOG needs to get Sega to join in the list of Publishers.

And even then we are still waiting for more Lucasarts and Bethesda games.

Ah that could also be it, I just assumed this was news.
Well you know what they say about assumptions ;)

That.
Rome2 burned me hard. Although I am not even excited with this one, mildly curious at best (even if I am a big warhammer fan).

Yes, that's the problem really. Have played Rome, Medievel, Shogun, and they are all great games. After that they went all steam required so never played the second of each, although from all accounts I am lucky.

The retail version of Medieval 2 doesn't require Steam.
