Any particular order of installing the expansion packs, or it doesn't matter? GOG version.

EDIT: Answered.

Winter
Dark
Soul.

DC and SS are standalone expansion. Winter assault is bundle in with the original one.

I installed GOTY and then tried to install Winter Assault, but I click to choose language and nothing happens.

My bad, I thought Winter Assault was bundled into the Game of the Year edition. Maybe redownload it and try again. It could also be an issue with the language you've selected. Try installing it with a different language.

If it's that contract GOG support.
It does not matter at all, GOG packaged them in such a way that each expansion (and the base game) run as a stand-alone. Assuming of course that you are using the DRM-free installers, as I did not (and will not) test the Galaxy installation.

What do you mean it does not matter? I want to install Winter Assault. It matters to me.

I am using the offline installers. If I had to use the client I would pirate the shit out of it.

EDIT: to clarify since clearly it can be confusing to some. I meant that it matters to me to install Winter Assault. I didn't know you were replying to the first question. Thank you.

- You asked if the installation order matters.
- vv221 answers that it doesn't.
- You reply that it matters to you.

What is this? Monty Python?

Tell me you did not read the thread without telling me you did not read the thread.

There was an on going discussion about inability to install Winter Assault to which I thought he was replying to.

Thankfully not Monty Pythons.

Still, thanks for letting me know about this, as clearly it got confusing.

Are your Soulstorm files the same version as the rest? (when I last installed, everything was 0.19)
Have you downloaded all the BIN files for Soulstorm? There are two of them (+1 exe).

If the language version is the issue - contact GOG or have a look at the subforum. My installation went fine, but I installed it default/English.

Well, re downloading the files for Winter, fixed it. No idea why.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I haven't installed Soulstorm yet, but re downloading Winter files seems to have worked for some reason.

I'm sorry, I wrote Soulstorm but I meant Winter Assault.

Good to hear that it works now.

Interestingly enough Soulstorm had the same issue. Dark Crusade didn't. Weird.

trusteft: I want to install Winter Assault.
Then you need to run the Winter Assault installers, and only them. You don’t need to install the base game first.

The GOG build is a new build that turned Winter Assault into a stand-alone (on CD/DVD it used to require the base game).

Question already answered, I will need to edit my original post. Thanks anyway.
