Music doesn't loop in missions. It plays once and is done. Any idea on how to fix?

Though I was the only person who played this game. Wargames 1998 is a pain to even get running, and it's hard to find troubleshooting issues about the game. I'm not sure there is a solution for the sound problem. At least I could not find one.

Have you managed to make the game run at 800x600? It keeps crashing on me when trying to play at the resolution.

I downloaded and installed these fix files but, at best I can get the game running with DGvoodoo with the much better looking 3d option. Rather than the software renderer it is a GIANT pain and you have to be on the ball about skipping the cutscenes or else the game hangs and crashes. So far I've been able to play the biggest bugs that I got are
* closing of the map screen will crash the game
* the music only loops once and you have to reload the save to get it to play again.
* If you managed to get DG Voodoo to run it you have to be on point with skipping any cutscene.
* The opening video (fake Advertisement) doesn't run.
* If you watch a hacker go into a player built building to hack or a computer center to hack it'll crash the game.
* if your looking at a computer center when your units upgrade the game crashes.
I do love this game and I'd kill to get a perfectly working copy or remaster done by GoG.
I mean if I knew a thing about programming or doing a remake remaster project I'd go ahead and just do it myself. As I think the story of the game while well tread was in fact written by one of the guys from the original movie and is kinda clever how they implement it into the game as a flurry of emails going back and forth.

I see you have all the same issues as me when trying to play it. Off-topic, have you played the PS1 version? It's actually really fun and is tactical strategy than RTS. I have a physical copy of both versions.

Remaster of both versions would be a dream.

I used to play the game with a buddy and we cleared the campaign together multiple times. It's a game I love that just had the unfortunate time of being released without a QNA check of the disc for that virus. Being released around MechCommander and StarCraft and being overshadowed by an AI issue. Barring that it is easily EASILY one of my favorite games. I just truly wish we could get a version that would get released on gog. I may end up trying to track down some of the original dev team and see if they can help us out any. I'd honestly like to make a discord devoted to it so folks have a place to congregate and chat about it. I saw a few years ago that someone was trying to make a command and conquer generals mod for it. But, they stopped and have since gone dark.
