Well, I dont like Ste@m because it must be installed etc etc, I would prefer to buy this one on GOG. And I am a huge GOG fan with lots of games bought already so I dont wanna change.

Dear GOG! Make it possible, to buy this game on your website, please!

Many thanks, and Happy new Year ;-)
If you want the game on gog, vote for it over here.
The blues probably won't see this thread. :)

Blues1979: ...
If you have time, contact the publisher and let them know you want the game here: https://www.kalypsomedia.com/us/contact
Really? I mean, to each their own, but Disciples III is about as disappointing as Diablo III, incredible art aside, that is.
I have both, but I've yet to meet anyone who genuinely enjoys them.

You don’t like steam because it must be installed...

Please elaborate. You mean the client. It’s not actually need for some games. Command line can download those games. Here almost all games are the same, you can get them via browser or galaxy. Unfortunately both are more or less the same, offline installers now require galaxy components. Means downloads are bigger, takes longer to download and at some point in the future when they are no longer supported your games will stop working. Still. It’s for your benefit, so don’t complain.

Show me how to download and install games wherever I want without steam client been installed. Without any suspicious third party site/application/script. Please. I really want to know.

I have few web browsers trusted, checked and proven in any web activity. There are web browsers developers who cares about users privacy, security and how their products affects users hardware and software. I am able to find all the information about them, opinions and, most importantly, choose which one suits me best.

Few days ago some guy with lots of games wrote that his steam client after recent changes has 10 GB without games. Only client parts, games tiles in the library and whatever the client needs. It freezes for 1 minute after start to check if every part of client is up to date. I really want to know about the lighter alternative that will not make a mess for my eternal happiness.
Is there a reason why you might want the Gold Edition? If I remember correctly, Disciples III Reincarnation, is the remake and best version of the game, superseding the previous two versions(Renaissance and Resurrection). Has anything changed lately?

I believe it is called steamcmd:
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD
It would work only for drm free games.
You can see which ones from:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_drmfree_games_on_steam

I haven’t used it myself though. It’s not much different to browser download, or if you use galaxy. All gog games come with galaxy components now.

Oh, and to use anywhere anytime, store the installer or downloaded files offline on your hard drives, backed up. This is the point of drm free, you keep them!

Not that I'm aware of. Reincarnation is still the same game and still the same step back from II, imo. I fired it up recently to test it out in 4k, and while the character design, art and detail still holds up, the game itself is just horrifically grindy and not in the mindless enjoyable way, either. The excruciating way. The "this is taking forever" way.

Unfortunately I have to agree. I've played through a few missions and just can't see the point, and I've heard it gets worse from there.

I really like the way the game looks in general, but screenshots and YouTube videos can scratch that itch if needed. Otherwise it's just a heap of wasted potential.

Yeah, it's a classic case of their focus being on the wrong things, much like modern JRPGS. They spent so much time on the aesthetics and literally none on advancing the game play, aside from some annoying tweaks on the battle module. I don't mind that they went with a Heroes style of system. I mind that they made it slow, annoying and added dumb things like bonus hexes that are usually too far out of reach to be of any use, and I minded that they balanced XP gains to an excruciating level.
