I'm looking for suggestions of good sci-fi and fantasy TV series. Isn't necessary to be new ones, older ones like from 90's and early 2000s are OK too because many of these productions weren't exhibited in my country at the time or were restricted to pay TV. I normally assist these series with my parents then is interesting to avoid series with too much violence and/or sex, like Game of Thrones. And I prefer series with more action, darker/dramatic series only if they have humor (snarker characters are a must)
Some series I like for comparison:
Stargate (both SG-1 and Atlantis)
Star Trek (Original Series and Next Generation)
Andromeda
Farscape
Dr. Who (only the new series, never saw the old ones)
Eureka
Warehouse 13
Quantum Leap
Seven Days
Early Edition
Primeval
Grimm
Fringe
Hercules and Xena
Merlin (the BBC one)
Some series I disliked or simply found boring:
Stargate Universe (good premise but very unsympathetic characters)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (much talking and few action)
Primeval New World (unsympathetic characters)
Once Upon a Time (much talking and few action)
Not interested in the premise:
Lexx
Red Dwarf
Considering this, how those series can be availed?
Star Trek (Voyager and Enterprise)
Babylon 5
