Crevurre: "Nothing wrong with gaming in general" Exactly what is going on in your heads to post something like this? Wth is wrong with you?

pds41: I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me, but you should really reflect on how you communicate with others. Manners cost nothing.

I appreciate that English probably isn't your first language, so for clarity, my reference to "nothing wrong with gaming in general" was around the enjoyment of the hobby itself - that should have been clear from the context of my reply to BookCrazy.

As for your other comments, you're getting quite hung up on issues that you're perceiving in a segment of the market, but that aren't ubiquitous across all game releases. There are enough game releases each year to be able to avoid the things you don't like.
I've found people don't respect manners, over time. I can make a point politely, and I'll still be ignored or downvoted regardless. So the effort DOES cost something, in most cases. Example is game devs ignoring polite criticism constantly. Corporate contempt is designed to troll, mock and humiliate you so that you lose face...most of you accept it but I don't.

While I don't often agree with Crevurre, in this case I do. Polite criticism is far too often ignored. While I do hate the outrage culture that exists nowadays, it is the only thing that is taken seriously by corporations. And by that, they feed this exact culture. GOG is no exception. The only thing they react to is a huge outcry. They don't react to friendly reminders that something is against their former principles. They don't react to suggestions of improvement. ... And with react I don't mean that they have to follow every suggestion, but at least reply to it. They don't. They only react at all if there is an outrage and a big enough mob.
They reacted to the outrage when they tried to smuggle Galaxy into every offline installer and rowed back. But when they discontinued the Downloader and when they introduced DRM into one of their own DLCs, the outrage wasn't big enough anymore. But on the other hand, they DO react to nonsensical outrages on Twitter and even found a scape goat to fire in the past (Linko) to appease the POOP.

Other companies are the same. They react to those who cry the loudest. Not to the polite, moderate majority. But to the outraged fringe minority. So, politeness is the best way to talk to other persons. But when dealing with corporations it won't get you anywhere. Corporations only react to pressure. Either financial pressure or PR pressure on social media.

None of which has anything to do with Crevurre simply being a troll and a jerk to everyone.

"I aim to misbehave" That's what you wrote on your profile.

As for my post, it was downvoted. I have a very strong suspicion the masses try to keep me underneath them and you see it here. No matter what I write I will get -rep. There's no way for me to succeed with virtually everyone trying to stop me, including the silver tongued corporate game devs who take advantage of investors constantly.
Do you really think there are no normal games at this time? I think there are a lot of decent games for all tastes and

That's true. As I wrote, I usually don't agree with him ... and when conversing with other persons being a jerk is just being a jerk. No necessity for rudeness there.

escapist23: every year I try some videogames and always end up getting bored ouf of my skull. Some I liked, like Dragon Age Origins, but the boss battles were a joke. But more and more it feels getting to like again the hopscotch games you played when you were 10. I guess this is a good sign. I'll try again next year.
I'm getting this exact same vibe right now playing GTA 5. It's just fucking GTA, mechanically it's pretty much the exact same game as GTA 4, just slightly rebalanced. When I jumped on that bush next to the gangster's house to reach an open window, geez, it felt like playing a PS2 game.

Thanks for agreeing with a polish guy saying "I Aim to misbehave" on his profile pic, calling me a jerk, troll etc. Couldn't be you guys teaming up on me in the forum to downvote me could it?
I guess you two relate to the silver tongued corporate game devs and not the investors. Your collectivised behaviour suddenly makes sense.

This is off topic, but seriously Crevurre, take a breath. Breja and Lifthrasil are both reasonable people and there isn't a big conspiracy here.

Just in this topic, you've said that groundhog42 "like[s] subhuman games", called Timboli a "mindless, unthinking drone", called pkk234 "a bad person", said that I'm lying to myself "constantly" and asked "wth is wrong with you?" and suggested that there's some giant conspiracy against you.

Yeah, you might get negative rep whatever you write, but how about trying to prove the downvoters wrong rather than confirming their opinions?

Back on topic, I agree with samuraigaiden - there are a lot of games that are derivative of the ones that went before. GTA 5 is similar to GTA4 - although I did enjoy 5 more than 4 (possibly because Niko wasn't very likable).

Nope. I don't care about rep at all. Why should I downvote anyone? Rep doesn't mean anything in this forum.

Not looking at it can be difficult since you need to look at the skybox to see the maximum framerate. Maybe reducing lighting quality settings could be helpful.

Or just abolish the rep system. But we have been asking GOG to fix or abolish the rep system for years. That's just one of the many things that GOG will never do anything about.
