Sekathas: Click on Tte Wicher 3 Picture in My collection and you will see download links below (7 parts).
That's how you download via browser. Clicking on "more" reveals "GOG downloader links".

Well, I don't know what to suggest, but my download of The Witcher 3 downloaded at a steady 112mbps (checked in Task Manager --> Performance tab). I have a 100mbps connection and the maximum I can achieve on it is 112mbps.

So, all good!

I'm in the UK on Virgin Media.

Maybe it's your ISP throttling the download? Has happened to others previously...

P.S. I quite like the Galaxy Client - it really is quite good for a beta. I can just imagine what it'll be like in a year or two!

rage288: sorry, GOG noob here
Had the same problem with GOG Galaxy and now downloading with older downloader. how do you import installer into Gog Galaxy?

thanks!

Axel
I'm surprised that would work. That's why the downloads are different sizes, each download pertains to a different way of downloading. I think if you tried to add the manual version to Galaxy, all it'll do is download the Galaxy version, ignoring the manual or GOG downloader version.

Please let me know if I'm wrong.

You can add any game to Galaxy that you download using the GOG downloader just by selecting the import game option

Ah, thank you!

Will adding a game by this method still enable you to use the Auto-Update feature?

I would presume so as if not then there would be no point inallowing you toadd your games this way as its obvious Galaxy willbe the onlyway of installing andupdating your games in the future

In fact I installed the game from the old GOG downloader installer and it automatically appeared as installed in GOG Galaxy :D Awesome!
Now its only a couple of days of wait left!!!! :D

snowkatt: do keep in mind that gog is getting absolutely hammered by people downloading the witcher 3 right now
Which is true, but also mitigated to a degree by people such as me for example getting full speed downloads from GOG no matter what method I use to download/install at full maximum speed of my connection (3.3MB/s). I'm sure The Witcher 3 may likely have something to do with it, but it's not a 100% global problem it seems. I've been trying to look for patterns in the minimal data people provide who report slowness and the best I can tell is the mostly seem to be in Europe.

In Canada it's rocking so fast it knocked my socks off! Now I have no socks!
It's funny, but I landed up downloading the entire thing manually from the GOG website, as Galaxy practically killed my connection stone-dead.

It's fine normally, or at least it was, from what I've tried, but I settled for the "tried and trusted" method in the end. :-)

I'm in the UK and have no problem using the Galaxy Client or any other download method for that matter. I have a 100mbps connection which usually maxes out at 106-108mbps or ~12.87MB/s. The Galaxy client maxes this nicely while still allowing me to browse the web, etc.

Have people tried limiting the connection amount in the Galaxy client? It's in the client settings and is set to 10 as default. This may also be a router issue, which usually becomes apparent on cheap ISP provided modem/routers, especially with higher download speeds. Put simply, they cannot keep up with the amount of connections and/or sustained data rates.

My download speed for the first 3 package was about 500 kb/s. Best case with my connection should be 1.2mb/s. The 4th package is now less than 100kb/s. Anyone have the same problem or can help me how to fix this?

I should be able to get as much as 1.8 MB/s with my connection.
I'm stuck with 0.9 MB/s for the most part.
Its \likely the servers being slow due to thousands of people downloading Witcher 3
