majorpuppies: i hear ya, but if you were paying for 160mbs and didn't get a good download speed you wouldn't be happier either.

darthspudius: I pay for 10mbps, i don't have a choice really.
I know the UK hasn't got the best Broad band across the country. btw the earlier poster is correct the gog downloader is working at much higher download rate.. im now ranging 5-19mbs.. I'm not trying to rub your nose in it btw.

ha ha that reminds me of the black night in the holy grail, so the witcher 3 downloaded in full in under an hour :-)

I have been trying out GOG Galaxy and so far it has not been bad. However the download speed is horrific, hovering around 0.1MB/s mostly with the odd burst up to ~6MB/s.

A more robust system needs to be implemented if GOG wants to be a serious player.

Im downloading with the old downloader still and then importing into Galaxy as its quicker for me to download that way

Same here, I left it downloading all day while I was in class, It only downloaded 7% in around 11 hours....which is ridiculous....

The same or similar problem on my side too.
It's not a constant speed but it goes up and down from 0.1 to 1.

I'm now downloading with old GOGdownloader, it's not choked as galaxy and downloads fast.

Use old download method. It is much better. I`ve downloaded all files in about 1 h.

Had the same problem with GOG Galaxy and now downloading with older downloader. how do you import installer into Gog Galaxy?
