I was responding to the "I can't even get the advertised Steam key out of these guys" part. I haven't heard of anyone having problems activating it on Steam.

I know they don't care about GOG until all of the Steam sales and Humble Bundles have long ended. I don't know why GOG lets these publishers on in the first place, the ones that treat GOG users as 2nd or 3rd rate. They care more about nabbing some relationships and titles than the users and user experience/treatment. But there aren't any departments in GOG for this or to give a common sense kick to the other departments. I think they're keeping the CEO hostage on life support somewhere in the basement.

They said that people who have bought the trilogy on GOG instead of Steam are eligible for a Steam key of the game, while waiting for the GOG version (to be released sometime when we're long dead and only our bones remain) by e-mailing them. Well, it seems like they ignored his e-mail.

That's the thing, if you own all three games here you're supposed to be able to get a Steam key of the Final Cut from them. Doesn't really work when they don't respond though. :P

Ah, I see. Gotta hate those 'courtesy' things where there's no regulation on it other than their word and goodwill. As much as they suck, reddit tends to be a useful place to complain about those things. For some reason the tears of socially awkward, politically correct neckbeards reaches out to companies more than any other platform. I'd be surprised if this topic wouldn't trigger PCMR and get everything fixed within a week.

Is there a stated reason for its absence here? Are they working on (or reluctant to commit resouces to) Galaxy integration or something?

If not, shouldn't this be a simple matter?

1. Send the files to GOG.

2. GOG makes it available for purchase and adds it to the account of anyone who already owns all three games.

Not stated, but they have made their money out of releasing the original three, they are now making money out of the re-release, and will make further money out of the XBox release. Why rush to post it here?

Because you wouldn't have any AAA game otherwise. Nor any of the Bethestha games that everyone asking for.
If it's about selling in steam and humble bundle first, you wouln't have any of those.

A different thing is releasing a game here and not update it, though. And in the case of The Final Cut, well, they promised to bring it here, and they even used it as a sale tactic. That's the main problem.

I bought it here. They stated that while you wait, you can write support and get a steam key for the FC. I've written 4 emails (about 1 month apart) to support. Got one response 2 months ago saying the FC would release here in a few days. No Steam key at all.
