would love to hear from some more ppl about the third part. I played the first ones but after reading reviews about the third one i was not tempted to buy it (and not even to play it e.g. not even if getting it really cheap like from a sale or humble bundle as i fear it may ruin the series/franchise for me). Can anybody how played and loved the first 2 parts and now also played the third one share their insights?

Did not play it, but research show that it is rushed and have features cut out. The deal breaker for me is you can go up to level 60 in VH2, but VH3 you have to start over again with a max level of 30.
If you own the first 2, you may want to get the third as they promised a free final cut version to anyone that own all three games. If you don't own any, directly buying the final cut version may be better for you.

I look forward to playing it when it comes here, I wonder how it will compare to Victor Vran which I have been really enjoying lately. Not sure if I will like the class system as much, but then it may be balanced better. It sounds like the new version is definitely the one to get since it will have all three in one and hopefully be better than with some of the features that sounds like didn't make it into the third.

mrkgnao: Impressive announcement. Definitely looks like a company that:
1) makes the right decisions
2) knows how to communicate them to their audience
I wish there were more companies like that.
Yes, they sort of screwed the pooch a little with V3 being so radically different from 1 and 2, so even though a large percentage of stock shifted on this will be freebies, they cant afford to get it wrong. 1) makes the right decisions
2) knows how to communicate them to their audience
I wish there were more companies like that.
I think they are a great developer, they give serious bang per buck in their games, The originals were alot of game for very little money (I forget the price now, but it was very cheap) and they could still take time to improve and enhance before moving on to the next installment, which garnered alot of fans that they cant afford to disappoint I think.

Delayed yet again.
"The release date for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut is delayed from original tentative date of October 7.
There are, again, good reasons for this.
Before the release of the game, we feel like it should have a short period of a Closed Beta to make sure that every feature is working correctly on the user's end, on multiple hardwares. This is what we can't test on our own, and for a solid release, we deemed it necessary.
So in a way, you can still play it, if you are willing to forgive the unfortunate timing yet again.
Please contact us, if you are willing to do so. For a Closed Beta, you will need:
• Contact us at beta@neocoregames.com
• Detail your hardware specifics (Processor, OS, Video Card, Memory)
• A contact e-mail
• Communicate in English well
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut will be free for all who own the trilogy, and a new release date will be set as soon as we get the additional testing done."

Hello there. I purchased VH1 on Steam, and VH2 and VH3 on gog. Does anyone know how to get the Final Cut if the games were downloaded from two different sites?

Hello. Do note that Final Cut hasn't been released on GOG yet (the developers have mentioned that it will be released here at a different date), so if you can't wait till it's released here, you'll have to do with a Steam key for the time being. If you're fine with that, send them an e-mail at support@neocoregames.com.

I think users who have the games on different platforms will have no choice where to get the final cut anyway. At least that's what it sounds like in this post (or better: the reply to this post) on the dev's website.Grargar

I think it's too premature to draw conclusions, as the game hasn't been released here yet. As of their latest news, they don't specifically mention Steam if you have a mixed set. With a mixed bag: You’re so complicated! But we’re okay with that! Just drop by at support@neocoregames.com

I had said Neocore had lock their end game content to online only before.
Looks like the backlash had made them reverse their stance.
