Thanks for the notification, I have just one question about the content of the patch. I once played with an unofiicial patch witch was great to amazing in some parts and quite annoying in other parts. I don´t remember the name of the author, though, that is why I am asking.

Said patch added a great deal of fixes, new animations and tons of other cool stuff. Unfortunately at some point the author decided he could improve the reast of the game too, so he begun change not only technical issues, but story content as well. He decided, for instance, to remove many sexual innuendoes, apparently because he deemed them inappropriate. Unfortunately the patch was not modular, if you wanted the good stuff, then you had to accept the crappy parts as well.

So now I am curious if this patch only addresses technical issues or if it changes story or lore as well.

It might be in everyone's best interest to find the version number of the most recent fan patch before this censorship took place. Someone might still have it backed up.

Can you site examples of censorship by the fan patch? Or even know of a site that lists the changes made?

Like I said, it has been some time since I have played Bloodlines and I really don´t remember the name of the author. I will have to dig the patch up and look it up. I will inform you as soon as I find out more.

This will be very important info for anyone that has or will patch the game. So, thanks for the heads up!

Please note that I was asking about the content of the patch because the last big "unofficial patch" I have used did all that censorship. I am not saying that the patch advertised here contains anything like that. I really don´t want to leave the impression that I was accusing the authors of this recent patch of doing censorship or the like!

Truthfully I hope that it is not the case. I would be pissed to findout that the fan patch that fixes many of the games bugs and restores quests cut from development also censors the game.
Does the Steam version of the game have any additional DRM on top of Steam client?

None that I've ever noticed or am aware of.

monkeydelarge: Do these work with the Steam version of the game?
Yes they work just make sure to turn off both Steam Community In Game & Automatic Updates. Also don't mix any of the Expansions together or try to install a newer version of the Unoffical Patch on top of them.

Ah, very good. I guess I should have got it when it was on dotemu some years back, but dumbass me thought I could wait for sale only for it to be pulled from that site. Thanks for the info, I did a search about it, but got some conflicting results.

Your welcome and Neither Patch censors anything the only censorship the game had was a beheading scene got cut in certain regions.

It appears they've just updated the unofficial patch 9.0 just now. I wish it would download faster as the download speed from that site horrendously slow.
Unofficial Patch 9.0 is up grab it from the link on the front page but beware the servers are maxed the download will be slow.

Yeah the download speed is usually always like that when a new patch hits.

Yesterday I bookmarked this page on the Steam community: Fixing V:TM-B (15mb memory and Failed to find Steam errors)

It does an explanation of above mentioned bugs you might run into, including the solution of installing the Unofficial Patch people were talking about, in a little bit excessive noob-friendly way, but just in case it's helpful to someone, I post the link here.

It's the only game I got wishlisted on Steam. It's 75% off till the 30th of june, but the saying goes you shouldn't buy anything in a Steam Sale unless it's a Daily or Flash sale or it's the last day of the sale, as the price might still drop otherwise.

But is there a realistic chance of the price dropping between 75% I wonder? The current €4,99 during the whole sale is also the lowest recorded according to Is there any deal
