mobutu: Yes, unofficial, but please use the latest 9.5beta release
In a way all those patches are betas, because the patching work seems to never end! ;)

Oh okay then, I will download 9.5 once the game download is done. Thanks for the tip and for the links! Already downloaded the soundtrack from Steam forum.

One more thing, once you've started a new game don't install any newer patches.
It's advised to start a new playthrough once you've done so.

omega64: Enjoy, tip: don't choose malkavian for you first playrhrough.
avatar
Hunter65536: Hehe that's the main reason why I got interested in this title. Someone linked a malkavian video in the forum some time ago. (the one with stop sign if I recall correctly)

Unofficial patch 9.4 is good right? I saw 9.5 but it was marked beta so I got 9.4 instead.
Fair, just play it through with a "normal" character first. :P

F4LL0UT: Neither am I.
I know someone who actually has that car. And its color is this obnoxious mustard-orange or something like that.

The owner is a woman, maybe she liked the design or maybe she felt sorry for the deformed car and wanted to adopt it, I dunno...

I can already envision Amber Scott driving that godawful, er, i mean magnificent, car, fit only for a "Big Momma" to drive!

Pam from Archer? She isn't that fat.

Edit: I thought you were talking about Amber Nash, I was apparently mistaken.

Hmm, and it's on sale on Steam. I will wait until Monday, but if it doesn't shows up here by then, I think I'll cave in and get it on vapour.
So I'm playing for first time as Toreador and got up to the Hollowbrook Hotel mission, my humanity has been pretty much at 10. Still I frenzied while I was in combat and ended up getting stuck near a barrel. I reloaded and this time I was fine. Is this a bug or is this expected? I thought frenzy was impossible if humanity is at 10.

I believe it is indeed possible, just much harder for it to happen. And the ghosts at the hotel are basically status effect annoying enemies, so if you frenzy anywhere it will most probably be there. Luckily there's nobody you could actually harm there.
Never happened to me with that high humanity, so my guess would be "bug"... well it's Bloodlines afterall so it's not surprising :P

Hmm, that's interesting. So it would be like 1% chance I guess?

Ah, I got the wrong impression from the loading screen text which said the chance of frenzy is there when I have low humanity.

Sorry, I wanted to know if I ran into a bug or a feature I didn't understand. :)

Yup, every time this thread pops up I think 'So it has finally come to gog'.

It wasn't any coincidence that they got a reply within a few minutes. If you see this thread bumped, you absolutely need to check what's up with it.

Well, I recall it as a possibility. kinda as in it won't happen naturally, but an enemy discipline could still make it happen. Now, I never played the pen & paper version; whether this happening was the way it should be or if it was a bug... no idea
Unless Paradox manages to get the rights from Activision, chances for Bloodlines are still slim.
Okay, completed my first run and I've got some doubts. (Spoiler warning for those who haven't played it)

1) Is Jack really part of Anarchs or was he just with them to pass time in the game? His plans had the chance on backfiring on Anarchs themselves if the player chooses to not side with them so what was his goal?
2) If sarcophagus had nothing dangerous why was Beckett spooked and warned us not to open it?
3) What did the Sabbat leader mean when he said that the player had special blood? Does that mean the one who sired player was a powerful vampire? If he was then why did he just die without putting up a fight or anything? Is the one who got decapitated the same one who sired player or did he just take the fall for it? Since one drop of blood of a vampire after draining someone should be enough to sire someone, could he just have used some other vampires blood instead?
