Lemon_Curry: And without soundtrack. ;)
avatar
KiNgBrAdLeY7: True. Soundtrack CD was a limited time offer, early months of game's release... The tracks can be found inside the installed game's folders somewhere, though, yet one or two of the tracks are missing...
Semi related example, one song that plays during a prominent part of a quest but isn't listed in the game's credits and isn't on the soundtrack: Pilots (On A Star) by Goldfrapp is the song that plays when you visit a certain hotel ;)

Also related but in a "what, why?" way: There are in-game posters of several (real life) bands, yet none of them (to my knowledge) actually had any of their music in the game.

False. Lacuna Coil, whose named poster is to be seen in-game, have one of their real life songs converted in-game to play upon entering the Asylum, in Santa Monica. I don't remember to list the other ones, though.

I didn't say that there was no music by ANY of the bands who have posters in the game, so yeah...

And no, that wasn't Lacuna Coil who had a song playing in The Asylum, that was the song Isolated by Chiasm. Lacuna Coil did the song that played during the ending credits.

Edit: Yes, yes I did. Welp...that sure was a thing.

I would do just about anything for this to come to gog.com...

I've been a Blooodlines fan from the start... It was the very first game ever released on the Source engine, pre-steam, so much history!

Well you can trust a Nosferatu will point it out. ;-)

KiNgBrAdLeY7: What holds gog from obtaining the rights to sell it here, too, again? WHERE is it?
Well, it's with Activision.
Need some advice, do I buy now on Steam or wait for GOG release? Is it accessible to casuals like myself?

It is, not all too complicated.
Might as well get in on the cheap on Steam.
Remember you NEED to install the unofficial patch. Don't even try to play without it.

Thing is even the Steam one costs me about 5 USD which is the same as the price it would be if it went on sale here with 75% off. (Activision titles are more or less charging dollar price, no regional pricing for India)

Edit: Bought! I decided to try my luck with this one.

So you're that "too niche" guy. :D

Hehe that's the main reason why I got interested in this title. Someone linked a malkavian video in the forum some time ago. (the one with stop sign if I recall correctly)

Unofficial patch 9.4 is good right? I saw 9.5 but it was marked beta so I got 9.4 instead.

Yes, unofficial, but please use the latest 9.5beta release
In a way all those patches are betas, because the patching work seems to never end! ;)
