Schnuff: No. No VR for me. With my spectacles its useless.
But beside this and the possible motion sickness, I don't think that wearing these things during excessive, I mean normal, gameplay is anything than fun. Add that you need a top high end computer.
You can wear glasses in both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive (Steam's VR headset)
The extra pricing is due to the fact the HTC Vive also has two hand controllers and two cameras (Lighthouse) for knowing where you are [positional tracking] in the room for room size play, if you desire it (it's a big selling point of the HTC Vive)
Shadowstalker16: To the VR optimists, why will this work when 3D failed?
Because it's matured and ready. A lot of work has gone into both the hardware and software sides of the VR headsets
It's something you have to experience to understand
Potzato: One might argue that you already need a 1000$ GPU to use the full potential of a VR set.
A GTX 970 is the minimum requirement, but a GTX 980 is recommended for the "full potential"
Elmofongo: I personally prefer Glasses-Free 3D Monitors over VR headsets.
Have you tried the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and compared them to a 3D monitor? They are
completely different beasts
