I needed something pompous and pretentious that ended with "anus", because I'm an ass.
Or it's just the Latin version of my real name.
Or it's actually me real name.

Gearmos are the robots that appear in Super Mario Galaxy games. I was tired of trying not taken usernames on PSN... and that worked. XD

Valamir was the name of a Ranger I had in a longterm Dungeons & Dragons campaign back in the 90s. My character found a magical +4 Great Axe of Hurling as part of a treasure haul which my character named Cleaver. My character became very well known for the axe that Cleaver became a nickname then a surname.

It's the name of my old Dark Eye character. The character sheet was lying next to the PC when I was first looking for an internet alias. I've stuck to it ever since.
